It's frustrating
Inpatient care/General inpatients
November 25, 2025
Been here since last Friday. Communication could be better between the departments. There has been a lot of contradictions. What one says should happen another says differently. It's frustrating.
Sent to the wrong place

We waited at the GP department there for 2 hours, they told us we had gone to the wrong place. We ended up at A&E.

Good at A&E for him. Good with him. They changed the date to the same day to do surgery. Excellent care was given to us.

Referred from the pregnancy unit and been using them for the last two weeks. Trying to get hold of someone can be annoying.
Quite a wait
Emergency department (including A&E)

The waiting times have been a bit long. I walked in at 8:30am and wasn't scanned until 11:30am. The nurses were attentive and kept checking on me.
A 3 hour wait for the process
General outpatients and hospital-based consults

I was at x-ray for radioactive dye put into my bloodstream to have a brain scan. We had a 3 hour wait. It wasn't well signposted to the carpark. Not enough disabled parking. Volunteers are good and the restaurant too. Good value for money.

Mom is in here as her left leg isn't working. Think it's something to do with her spinal cord. She is being treated very well.
Sent home
Maternity care
November 25, 2025
Came into maternity at 3am, they checked my wife and said she wasn't ready to give birth and they only gave 1 paracetamol and was sent home. Arrived at 5am home and then wife was in a lot of pain so came back. She slept in the waiting room and so they said to go home. We arrived home at 8:30am and at 9:30am my wife had the baby at home.
Cared for him well

Spent all night in A&E and then moved to a ward. They cared for him well though. Spent a long time in A&E, like there wasn't a bed on a ward or something.
Good care but poor communication
Inpatient care/General inpatients

Very confusing finding your way around the different wards. Mom was on A7 trauma ward then moved to B8. Can't fault the care on A7 or the staff. There was a lack of communication about my Mom's care and ongoing issues. She also waited for 40 minutes to go to the toilet as they couldn't get her a bedpan.
