Gone down hill with new owners!
October 25, 2022
Never enough doctors or nurses, and they have now refused wound care at the practice. Even though the nurse is a specialist in wound care! The new management only care about money they don't care for the patients well being. That's why you are allowed 5 to 10 min appointment times as well.
1hour on the phone. 2 blunt phone calls less
October 14, 2022
I appreciate the stress the GP practice is under but could of had the same conversation with computer. Went through a very impersonal checklist of my symptoms, on both phone calls. Doctor especially very blunt - very personal conversation cut short because I understood almost immediately she didn't want to hear what I had to say, signed off for a week with 'not needing another assessment'. Where was my initial one? I really don't think anyone cares anymore. Maybe if appointments were face 2 face again the practice could see how much the public are struggling too.

I've only just transferred to them during covid as I moved house. They prescribe me medication for my mental health.

I have been trying to get an appointment with them for 6 months and can't get one.
They're really good

I can get same day appointments here, they're good, really good. I get my prescriptions the same day and my son was registered at the surgery within 10 day after his birth.

Very difficult to access them

Very difficult to access them , hard to get tablets. Gave a number to call for prescription, takes long to get through. Surgery orders tablets. Don’t get repeat prescription.
Almost impossible to get an appointment
May 27, 2022
It is extremely difficult to get an appointment, even if it is a phone appointment. There aren't many ways to make contact anyway (only one phone number). The advice from the practice is to call for booking appointments at 8am but it is impossible to get through and by 10 am, all appointments are gone and you are asked to call back the next day, no matter how uncomfortable or in pain you are! The suggestion is to go for the walk-in clinic in that case but that usually takes hours of waiting, unless, of course, it's an absolute emergency. So, if you need medical attention from this practice, you generally have to spend a few hours trying to contact them and then a few hours in a walk-in clinic, which is all highly inconvenient if you are working. On top of that, the doctors can sometimes give you the impression that your medical problem is not serious enough. I have even had to go for private options at times, even though I have paid IHS. I would have changed my surgery but there aren't many good options in Birmingham (judging from reviews). Very disappointing!
Poor

Not be able to provide appointments for screening test or any other services. Phone never works, receptionist don't have any info just dealing large number of calls. No follow up or any results when you manage to get an appointment. No explanation of your condition. Very poor
Incompetent

Moved to Birmingham in early July and submitted a registration form. Called every week for several weeks 6 weeks after submitting the form to check if I was registered. Was eventually told in late September that they had possibly lost my form, so I sent another application about 3 weeks ago. Called every week since and told each time that I would be registered by the following Monday - 3 and a half months after first submitting an application I am still not registered. I have repeat prescriptions and my cervical screening is overdue - what am I supposed to do?! Thoroughly incompetent.
