Shenley Green Surgery

When I ring reception they ask what is wrong with me. I find it's not good. It's confidential so there is no need to explain to a receptionist. It took 2 to 3 weeks to get an appointment there. I prefer the same doctor but there are different doctors every time I go there. I have to then explain my history to them every time. I have been using this place for a long time and the service has gone down hill since covid.

As long as you don't need an appointment they're alright. I had bloods done there and it took 3 weeks for them to book an appointment and to discuss the results. They had them back on time it just took so long to get an appointment. The staff are alright. There's always one that isn't the best but the nurses are really nice.

They just don't answer the phone at all. It is very difficult to get hold of them.

when trying to order prescriptions on line there is a date that you can't order before or they are refused. then when you do order it takes 5 days before they are done usually waiting for Dr to sign, then when you phone to say the that you have been told this are asked why did you leave it so late to order

Terrible. Can hardly get an appointment. Won’t give you the medicines you need. For eye infection to diabetic patients they say to buy the medicine over the counter. Reception staff want to know what problem is before allocating doctor, even when I say it’s sensitive. They say they need to know so they can allocate the correct doctor, when they should just allocate any doctor.

The doctors come out to my house, they are a good doctors.

Hopeless. Can’t get appointment through phoning system. There use to be 4 permanent GP’S now mainly trainees. The surgery would rather us not come in there. The staff make you feel clueless. Can call 8am and still be waiting at 12pm. Feel like they don’t want to answer. Asthma review done over the phone by nurse. Nothing face to face. Got to the stage where I don’t want to contact my GP.

Personally find it good and can get appointments.

Things are not the way it use to be. They have stopped so many services and blame Covid for it.
