"No complaints"
Seen twice there and I was in and out. No complaints. They're okay.

"Very poor care"
My mom was initially sent here for rehab after having covid but the care provided was very poor so we got her moved to another rehabilitation centre.
Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your mom\'s experience at West Heath Hospital, and we\'re so sorry it was not a positive one. If you\'d like to tell us more, please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 0800 917 2855 or email contact.bchc@nhs.net.
"Excellent, nothing seems to much trouble"
Excellent, nothing seems to much trouble for them. There's a good choice of food too. There's been an issue with lights, the sensors in the bays and side rooms can go off in the middle of the night. The days can feel very long. I also get access to showers when I want.
Thank you for taking time to give us your feedback, it is important to us to know we are getting things right and giving the best care.

"Happy here, they let me know about my care"
I started off in another hospital and was sent to this one. I've been happy here. The doctors and staff did involved me in my care at the beginning and they've got to know me and I get to have a laugh with them. They do let me know about my care when I ask them. I'll be going into a care home once I leave here, I'll be happy as long as I'm wearing my button. Faith is important for me and I haven't been visited by the chapel today.
"Well informed and involved in the care"
From the receptionists all he way through to other members of staff, we're 150% delighted with the care. We feel involved in the care and feel well informed. The reception staff give a warm welcome and the nurse in charge made us feel very welcome. We've been in 2 bays since we've been here and staff have been approachable. They're very much inform us about things and the doctors are spot on.
"Good staff, great hospital"
After my stroke, I had a lot of support. The Physiotherapy team was here with me everyday. I haven't walked since my stroke and they've done a good job at getting me back on my feet. I've moved from one bay to another and it's a good bay, it's not loud at night and there's lots of nice conversations being had. Staff are good, they go above and beyond and they also have good conversations with me which helps with my mental health. One of the staff members took me under her wing. Some of the agency staff are not good, they can sit there with headphones in, they shouldn't have agency staff on wards or bays with difficult patients. As a patient I have a routine and consistency is important. The food is bang on. Occupational health do quizzes and speech related word searches with me. The doctors speak with my family and they are my voice. They involve me and my family in my care and we're treated as equals. they explain things to me in layman's terms and use language that I understand. Staff will take me outside and give me options, they will talk me through what we can do on the weekend when my family come. hospital and the bays are clean. I have met the matron since she's been here too. Occupational health have put a plan in place and I know what plans have been put in place.
"They've been fantastic"
Been here a couple of weeks and they've been fantastic. I have cancer and they have been treating and caring for me, more than I could ask for. Wonderful staff and wonderful hospital.
"Staff were good"
For pre employment checks I was referred there. It took 2 months to get the results but staff were good.
"Husband in hospital for almost 3 months"
Following a hip replacement my husband has been in West Heath for almost 3 months. It is a wonderful place. The staff are very kind and caring. The staffing is very stable, very rarely are there agency staff. Great continuity of care. They make time to spend with the patients and they get to know them really well. The place is set up as a stepping stone towards home, and so is as homely as a hospital can be, with a day room for meals and a sitting room for watching TV. All the patients are dressed in day clothes for the day and changed into nightwear for sleep. My husband has enjoyed the meals, which are served course by course, rather than all together on a tray.
My husband had a second fall, fracturing his other hip. All through this his care has been excellent and I have been kept fully informed.
