"Impossible"
I find it impossible to get an appointment. The difficulty causes me anxiety so badly. That affects me that I don't seek medical attention even when I know I should.

I find them ok. It can be a struggle to get an appointment at times. I have no problems with my repeat prescriptions.
Great, no problem. Not easy to get appointments, I have to ring up early but do manage to get same day ones usually. The staff are friendly and helpful. They listen to my problems.
I find it really hard to get a doctors appointment, especially a face to face appointment. My last appointment was with a locum who was unable to talk to me or offer me any advice on the reason for my appointment which was disappointing and frustrating. The nursing team are wonderful. They go above and beyond and have fitted me in when I have been in desperate need. They have helped me with my stoma when it's not really their job too.
My experience has been okay overall. It is hard to get an appointment and you have to really lay it on thick or they disregard you. The doctors are alright it just depends on who I see. It took them 12 months and numerous visits to tell me that they didn't know what my condition was or how to treat it.
Accessing appointments is difficult because I have severe anxiety and find it very hard to leave the house. I request telephone appointments but this is not always possible. Home visits are not a possibility because I am young and not physically disabled. This means that I do not access the service when needed. On occasions when I have managed to visit the GP with support appointments have been difficult because I have only been able to discuss one issue at the appointment. When it takes such a lot to get to the surgery it would be helpful if we could discuss everything rather than having to arrange lots of different appointments. There needs to be better understanding and more adjustments made for people like me.
I find digital access difficult due to being visually impaired. I have to telephone the surgery as soon as phonelines are open to try and get an appointment. I can usually get an appointment this way, but I am quite often sent to the Church Road Surgery, which is very expensive for me because public transport is difficult and I have to pay for taxi fares. I request telephone appointments but this is not always possible. Another issue I have is that you are told by the receptionists that you can only discuss one issue per appointment. When you have complex conditions this can be very difficult because quite often different symptoms/issues are connected.
I just so happened to be in there and I asked for a prostate cancer test and they did arrange it for another day for me. They don't tell you about the cancer tests you meet the criteria for.
The GP surgery is not very good. I can't get appointments, it's a struggle. I phone at 8am, there are no appointments and then I have to call back the next day or if its an emergency I call 111 which is what I did.
The GP comes to the surgery once a week otherwise its nurses only managing the surgery. It's poor.
Very friendly staff. The GP's are very helpful and explain the medical issues in detail so that I can understand my health problems.
They're not very good. Can never get an appointment, I live right by Tile Cross and they will give me an appointment at the Church Road Surgery. It takes ages to get through to them. The receptionists don't understand English and don't understand what you are saying. At Tile Cross they demand to know what's wrong with me when I don't have to tell them that information.
I am confined to a wheelchair with multiple conditions and serious illnesses. Because I can’t open my front door the Dr will not come out to me. No matter what the weather I have to go to Church Rd surgery because I cannot go down corridor at the Tile Cross surgery as there is a radiator in the way. I received a text saying unless you are seriously ill you will not get an appointment. How ill must I be?
It is impossible to get a doctor’s appointment. You can't get past reception. My husband is 78 years is diabetic and is at start of dementia but we have to do phone calls. Would change doctors but they all seem the same. God help us, what's happened to our lovely NHS.
Tile Cross Surgery is still not open for Dr's appointment, you can see an HCA to take your blood. We have to ring sister practice Church Road for appointments of any kind. 1 Surgery in effect serving 2 practice patients. When you ring at 08.00 you never get through, when you do it says we have reached capacity, please phone again later. You keep trying then it says you are number 15 in the group waiting, this has taken 40 mins at times, really not good enough. Dr's aren't looking at test results early enough.
The Receptionists are very rude and often argue with the patients even when the Doctor has told the Patient to book in again to see them in 4 weeks the receptionists refuse to give you the appointment and say call on the day you call and if you eventually get through get through get told no appointments for about 6 weeks you explain the Doctor said you must be seen to make sure how you are getting on with new medication and side effects as some of them are serious.
Receptionist are very Rude. Never get a appointment. I could not tell you who my doctor is never see him.
I find it easier to make appointments I don't need then cancel if not needed my GPS was a no appointments service it had small waiting time
Asked receptionist how to remind doctor to change a medication as advised, with a tut the reperscription note was taken from me and something written on it ,I asked her if I should put it in the box she replied I’ll do it . Whilst this was going on the phone was ringing her colleague was asking about tea or coffee to which was said phones will have to wait . I go to pharmacist and only one item prescribed for a heart condition I’ve had for 9 years. The experience tells me tea and coffee are more important than patients welfare, and all impolitely done.
I lost one of my inhalers and need some desperately, I rang up the surgery and I am getting abuse saying I should give 48 hours notice and they are not prepared to help me, they then put the phone down on me because I asked them why they couldn't help me and why they are not taking my asthma seriously. On a previous instance they did allow me to get a prescription over the phone and was able to collect same day. Being severe asthmatic I am very concerned not just for myself but other people about there health as the receptionists think they are god.
Receptionists have a 'not my job' attitude. No empathy for patients and their circumstances. Unable to pre book appointments... How many people can take the day off work on the off chance of booking an in day appointment. Ridiculous system not fit for purpose!
My husband who suffers depression was berated by a receptionist whose so rude because he asked about prescription he handed a sample in she took it but looked disgusted my husband came home so upset this women is rude to everyone
The waiting times aren’t very long.
Thank you for your positive comments. We are always pleased to receive patient feedback.
