"Excellent private GP care"

I have become so frustrated with NHS GP care that I have been using private healthcare. They are excellent and I am seen quickly when needed. I am fortunate that I have a policy through my employment.

"Excellent consultant quick diagnosis"

I paid privately for a consultant appointment at The Priory Hospital after becoming frustrated with the NHS care I was receiving. The consultant was excellent and knew exactly what the problem was. They explained further costs involved and due to financial constraints referred me back to NHS care and wrote directly to my GP. The service and care I received from The Priory Hospital was great, being seen by a doctor who was confident and knowledgeable was worth every penny spent.

"A second opinion"

Last week I saw a consultant for a second opinion as I was worried about all the medication I was on and being prescribed. The consultant agreed with my GP decision on what I'm being prescribed so that was good.

I had carpal tunnel surgery over there. The care and treatment provided was excellent.

"Rude doctor that wasn't helpful"

The doctor there was really rude. I had an injection in my hand and he told me I didn't need an MRI or injections, he was very unhelpful. I ended up going back to my GP and got referred elsewhere instead. That referral was quick too.

All of the physio and medical blocks was arranged through them. Excellent.

Very good and did tests. I also had my knee replacement here and they were excellent.

"Nice place for my NHS treatment."

I ended up having another operation as the NHS outsourced me for treatment here after a 6 month wait. It was a nice place with nice staff. All was very good.

I went there for scans and an MRI. Very clean and nice hospital with helpful staff.

"They were very helpful"

We went there for second opinion for my daughter’s lung failure. They did all the tests and were very helpful. They provided all the information about the treatment available.

"Nice place and nice staff"

Went initially because I wanted to be assessed and monitored so that I could be referred to ROH for procedure. They sent me to ROH after they have done all there tests. Nice place and nice staff.

"Ended up going private, NHS wait too long"

I saw the consultant last August at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and they sent out an appointment which has been cancelled 3 times. I finally saw the consultant and did attend The Priory to see a consultant there in the end as the waiting list was so long.

"First appointment was a completely pointless"

Total waste of time had an appointment with the knee clinic which was switched to a phonecall at the last minute.
The Dr barely spoke to me for more than 3 mins told me he needed to see me in person and then just put the phone down on me.

"You're not a patient, just a customer"

I have been a patient at BMI Priory Edgbaston since February 2021. The service and consideration given by the medical staff has been reasonable but not really satisfactory and feels like it is being to drawn out as my insurance company is paying the bills, i.e come back and see us again at such a time, we'll do this next time. So after numerous appointments, am still no further forward and my own doctor has been very surprised at the extended time frame. I made a formal complaint to their Clinical Services Director who stated they would investigate and a response would be within 14 days (under their own promised code of conduct). So after near 6 weeks of chasing, still no legitimate response despite their assurance and the reply I have had from that person was utter nonsense in relation to the complaint. They do not make you feel like a patient but just as a customer. Based on my own experience, I would not recommend.

"I just want to say thank you very much."

About one year ago I got hernia while working out at gym and my GP booked an appointment for surgery at priory hospital. After my surgery nurses and doctors took good care of me and I just want to say thank you very much.

"Good service"

I am an NHS patient at this practice for knee replacement. I have had one knee replacement done before in 2017. That experience was great and going back for another one if I get NHS funding. I just feel that I am being treated slightly differently as I am not privately paying patient. I feel I’ve been left in the waiting room for longer than others.
