"Abuse from staff bad attitude & doing drugs"
The staff are really abusvie staff are definitely just drugging up the clients living there. A nurse laughed in my face and kept swinging my room door. They treat you like a criminal here. It’s not the sort of place to get better at all if anything the make you worse there. Staff had forcefully restrained me no privacy at all. They give you tablets you probably don’t need there. I lost so much weight when I was there through all the tablets they was giving me. People scream at night time male staff are flirty and they look at you like your horrid
"Oleaster lost my medication"
I was transferred to oleaster PDU from QE. The experience was not one I would ever want to go through again. I have recently had a liver transplant. I was grabbed by security multiple times. The nurses did not understand my prescribed medication. They refused to give me some of them and was offered ibuprofen pain relief instead of the tramadol I am prescribed for pain. Liver transplant recipients are not allowed ibuprofen which I explained. I had a blue pill box which has gone missing. There was an envelope with medication in because the doctor messed up the dose. I have not felt well since as I wasn't getting medication regularly enough. Have to say the only delight was one of the staff. I found some of the nurses inattentive and rude.

The psychologist was good and helpful. They assessed my husband very well. The full assessment for dementia took 3 hours.

After reading all these negative feedback, its left me no choice to take this further to our local MP to carry out a further investigation on all these reviews and further more how this is run. Something clearly isn't right therefore the process is in place to start off with their policy and procedures, and to get the commissioners involved. If the service not being run properly then, it will need to be closed and investigated as to the problems coming from the oleaster.
"Treated well and overcome my illness"
i was admitted into hospital caffra and i was a patient of mental health suffering from paranoid schizophrenic, i was looked after well and all the nurses and doctors were so helpful, i would recommend this hospital to all people who have suffered or are suffering from mental health.

"Daughter discharged no after care"
I am having the worst experience of my life because my daughter was discharged and deemed fit to live on her own yet she is being brainwashed and exploited by a church the mental health team are aware of this. My daughter is a nurse at queen Elizabeth Hospital she is now homeless and worse than before and she thing that she has been sent by God to heal the world. She has been made to isolate from us her family and she is spending more and more time with the church group, no one is monitoring her medication as I have been her carer for the last 4 years since she started having mental breakdown.
I am worried that my daughter has been ingrained into this religious group and wont be able to work again because her doctor thing she is fit. How can I let my daughter go down without any help, she needs psychological help and possibly counselling to get her out of this situation.
"Awful experience as a mother !"
My son was taken there last week on 136 due to the police picking him up. I was told he’d been discharged from city hospital to oleaster I made a call oh we can’t say we have to have consent from your son call back in half hour which I did ! Oh having change over give me your number they’ll call you ! I waited & waited no call back called again at 10pm oh he’s been discharged ? I had to call back 2 more times as I was in shock that he’d been discharged !
Whoever discharged him what doctors passed him as mentally fit ? Didn’t even keep him 24 hours ? How how on earth they get away with this I will never know ! I wasn’t even told they’d discharged him after making the calls to them. So 5 days later another episode with him ?
You the doctors & social worker who found him mentally fit well done !
Anything happens to my son I will be taking it to the national press I’ve logged everything down you are failing not only my son but other people out there who are crying for HELP!

A family member who was in a very bad way was actually suicidal taken there by police was discharged few hours later not even kept overnight so those 2 doctors and the social worker will be sued if anything happens now as the chance was there to help and dismissed by them!!! Disgraceful these people call themselves doctors what a farce!!

I stood outside for 2 hours. Would not let me in. Then a lady helped me, sat me down and asked who I was. She wasn’t the person I went to see. She gave a form to fill out. They discharged me from the service.
"Not happy with the medication"
I do not think a 30 minute appointment is enough for me to talk about my past traumatic stress. I was an inpatient for 10 days then they discharged me to the doctor and told me to get support from them. Not happy with the medication they’re given me but if I do not take them I will be sectioned and I do not want that. I don’t know why they’re putting in this medication.

After attending an appointment at the Oleaster and put on medication different to what i have been using for 20 years i was told i would have a review in one week, despite calling before the week was up no one replied and i ran out of medication, not even a phone call

I was sent here for one night when I was having a crisis. But it's like a vicious circle and you're sent home.

Due to improvements in mentsl health of my brother, which I am assuming they will use . Allowed him to go out unsupervised. Where he failed to return and lost . Our family got out looking for him where now he sees us as threats and runs away .

The nurses and some of the hcas on melissa suite are very judgemental and juvenile in their behaviour i was there for a long time but after discharge and still ongoing their attitude towards me are shambolic and absolutely disgusting because of their actions it has caused a number of mental health teams to be very dismissive of my mental health and therefore do not wish to help me i have had nurses at another hospital completely turn their backs on me due to mellisa suite
"No communication from anyone here"
Staff here have been rude & inconsiderate about safeguarding patients & their families there is no communication & how the hell does anyone get cannabis in there it’s like the patents are running the place

The staff i thought i could trust but turn out to back stabbers they used the information that i gave them aboug my past and helped another hospital to use it against me there have also been text messages between all staff throughout the oleaster hospital about what they would do to me these have been passed on to the police who are currently investigating this and tracing pgone numbers used for these texts
"Excellent care and support"
My experience on the melissa suite at the oleaster is one of pure admiration for the nurses on there although a young team they are so mature and extremely knowledgeable and have so much patience the staff morale is amazing they also know how to brighten up even the darkest of days they will put music on and have fun with us they truly are a great bunch of people

"Poor bed Availability"
My son was send out of area as there were no beds available in Oleaster part of BSHMHFT. He was in Manchester for weeks/months, causing us family considerable distress i.e. going up and down the M6 and we are now in our 70’s, which is totally unacceptable.
There was a safeguarding issue when he was in Woking and he ran into a busy main road when he was not campus mentis and stopped a van. One of the man in the van pushed him on the right hand side of his head when he was transferred to the hospital in Woking. He wanted to get home and he could have been killed ! he was there over night and was not secure enough. This situation should not have occurred had a bed been available locally.
