"I have been with this practice about 40 years"
They keep referring me to pharmacists who are experts in medication and nothing more. It's getting ridiculous.
They keep referring me to pharmacists who are experts in medication and nothing more. It's getting ridiculous.
I had a blood pressure test and it takes a week to book an appointment. Then it takes another week to get the results. Then another two weeks to get the medication. So it's a long process.
They see the kids really quickly so I can't fault them really. They are good whenever I use them.
The midwife here is lovely. She is easy to get hold of and take time for you. I don't feel rushed which is so nice.
Sometimes I have to wait up to 2 days to get an appointment. The staff are friendly and helpful.
I can get appointments online and straight away. I prefer phone calls.
Not a straightforward process as its online forms. They then call to decide whether to see you or not. They saw me a couple of days after and I was referred for an x-ray. I had to moan to get the referral.
I had a covid vaccine there and they were brilliant
Getting the appointment is not the problem, it's getting the gender affirming care, I find it quite hurtful. Needs to be more training for staff and more resources on gender affirmation.
The GP is good but you need to get through the receptionists. I fill in the form on the internet.
Mostly everything works well. The new triage system is a bit of a pain. The online system works well for me but I'm computer savvy.
Really good when you need to be seen. They will always see me when I call them. They prescribe the inhalers too.
They got me an appointment and did well. I was seen quickly and they listened to me. Very very good.
I can easily get appointments and treatment explanation is always provided.
Easy to get appointments and the follow up quickly.
It's close by. Sometimes it can be difficult to get an appointment but otherwise the staff are fine.
Every time they merge they change. The online consultations can be good for common childhood things. You can't do prescriptions online either.
My husband went there a couple of years ago when he had a problem with his hip. The GP was good and referred him which didn't take long.
I called them at 9AM and they said I would need to go straight to the hospital. An excellent GP.
I met with one of the doctors - I am 20 and have previously miscarried to which she was the doctor who told me. The doctor at the time had told me that ‘maybe it wasn’t my time’ I know I could have reported this back in 2022 but let it go over my head.
Today I went into the surgery as I have been having extreme pain on my left side and since my miscarriage get extremely anxious. I am 20. I know myself this pain wasn’t ‘made up’ but the doctor told me today that she believes I don’t have this physical pain and that she thinks it is all in my head. The surgery overall is nothing like it was , doctors like this dismiss you constantly. She didn’t check me over and I felt like a child being told off. P.S. the receptionist - one of them has the worst attitude I’ve ever came across.
Since the surgeries have merged the personal feel has certainly gone.
Most of the Dr's are good, but sadly the reception staff let them down badly.
The new triage system is difficult to use at times and the receptionists do not want to help you, they tell you you have to do it through the app even if you're elderly and cannot use it. The last 3 receptionists I have spoken to have been rude, disinterested and extremely unhelpful.
The industry they are in is to care for people, sadly this is far from the case and perhaps the management need to listen to some of the telephone calls to realise how they are speaking to ill Patients in need of help.
What used to be a nice surgery where you felt safe is turning into dread of needing to contact them
They're okay you know, when I go there, they're okay. They listen to me good and I know they are listening to me as they ask me what they can do to help and offer me options. They involve me in my care.
They have a new triage system which is good. It makes it a bit more complicated but once you know how it works the doctors are fantastic. They listen to me.
I am very satisfied by the support and help provided by the GPs and nurses but the reception staff are very rude and unhelpful.
The GP is alright.
A very good GP. I can get appointments. They have been very good.
No appointments at all. It's impossible to see your doctor. Very poor service delivery.
The doctors are very good.
They are good all of the time but getting an appointment is an uphill task.
I was with them for years. Excellent support provided. I only changed because they were quite far from where I live.
The GP helped me a few months ago. They couldn't give me medication and said I would need to see the psychiatrist. In general they are quite good. If I need an appointment I would go in at 8am and usually get one. I get a text to arrange blood tests and they will send results over text if needed.
It depends who you get. Some are more helpful than others. The receptionists are wonderful. Some of the doctors aren't all that helpful. They're a bit offish. I try not to see them.
Good GP. They see my son whenever he needs an appointment. Always good at giving advice and always feel listened to.
They have taken ages to refer me to a specialist during pregnancy and finally resulted in miscarriage.
Very difficult to get an appointment but staff are very helpful.
Excellent, same day face to face appointment when I needed it. Had issue with feet and made an appointment for Saturday at Cofton Medical Centre. Brilliant practice.
They were rubbish, couldn’t get any appointments with them. Couldn’t see anyone so ended up leaving them.
Can get appointments by phone at 8am. Good with seeing the kids. No consistency with seeing midwife. Never same midwife I saw.
Hard to get through, wait is too long. There's no routine check up's as a new patient.
They are okay, appointment problem. 3 weeks wait. Get on phone first thing, 7am 10th in queue. See regular doctor for which we wait for 3 weeks.
They are okay. Feel like there could be better interaction with midwives. Could be more human. But the doctors are good there can get appointments quite easily.
They’re okay. The appointment system is difficult - like a business system. They never pick up the phone. Cannot make an appointments so I end up going into the doctors to make an appointment.
They are lovely. Able to get appointment. Receptionist are lovely, couldn’t ask for a better GP service. They are just great.
They are good. The appointments which they started are getting better but I think the problem is Covid which made it even worse. Takes a while getting through and worrying about what appointments they have already got. I get on alright with the doctors. If receptionists think its urgent they make appointments other wise you have to wait.
A lot better than my previous practice. Can get an appointment easier. Part of a few surgeries so they can give you an appointment at one of their surgeries.
It's alright going to the doctors. Sometimes I get nervous. I do understand what they are saying and I go with my sister.
Very good and very helpful. I was seen quickly on the same day. Referrals have also been made.
You couldn't get an appointment, it's hard work getting an appointment. There's long waits on phones and when they answer you're told to ring back the next day.
They are good, able to get appointment. Initially over the phone than will see you face to face if they have to.
They're rubbish, couldn't get an appointment, couldn't get through on phones took forever. Not good interactions with doctors.
They're better, still hard to get appointments but the staff are nice.
They're great. I am able to get appointments over the phone but they will see you face to face if it's important.
Its alright sometimes get appointments. Kids have bad asthma. Sometimes annoying, they don’t prioritize children.
I like the doctors, they do my blood tests and weigh me.
They seem okay-ish. If you need and appointment they will get you to come into the surgery.
Nurses and GP’s are super great, at times difficult to get an appointment.
Easy to get an appointment during Covid. Good staff.
During the pandemic we have thankfully all been fairly well. Whenever we have needed to, we have been able to have a telephone consultation with the GP, send in photos etc. It has always worked perfectly and been very reassuring. I was prescribed pulmonary rehab and did this online or several weeks.
Very helpful. Great to be able to have telephone appointments and callback service and prescription ordering service.
I have been with this practice for over 4 years and I can honestly say that I have had excellent service. The receptionists are friendly and very helpful. The doctors are all brilliant, careing. They listen to you and do the best they can for you. Even through the pandemic, the service was great.
Although I eventually got the referral which led to the correct duagnosis and eventual treatment, the interim period of several phonecall only consultations were frustrating to say the least.
I joined 17 years ago because it was my husband and family's surgery. We can always get an appointment. During the pandemic, telephone appointments have been brilliant.
I joined 17 years ago whereas husband and his family have used it since it started.
Requested a telephone consultation three days in a row received no call back ended up being rushed to hospital
When things go wrong expect anything from and including being 'fobbed-off, lied to, condescending arrogant blame shifting behaviour.
Likely to recommend
The fact that he has to wait at least a week for appointments and blood test appointments. The fact that he has arrived at the surgery for an appointment that which has been cancelled. He waited for over an hour and no one told him. GP lacking in dementia training. Dementia Group at King's Norton - no idea what it is? Went and was told not to go any further.
For anything to do with the dementia it is lacking in understanding. Concern about not knowing about the carer's act and what support I should be getting from the GP.
The fact that I asked for referral to a counsellor. GP said he would look into it and get back to me. Still waiting. It annoys me that he has not got back to me and if I want to know I will have to phone or go and see him again.
Appointments cancelled with no explanation of why, even when I have arrived at the surgery.
Asked the practice manager if they could send me a reminder every 2 months for my husband's blood test. Told that facility was not available. So this causes me a worry as he knows he has to have them for his rheumatoid arthritis.
