"Easy access & good doctors"

A good service, I can get appointments with no problems and the doctors are good.

"Offer same appointment same or next day"

Easy to access, close to me. Easy to make appointment on website. They usually get back to me the next day and will offer an appointment the same day or next.

"Treat me like I'm human"

Another thing I would say when I go to the GP is that the receptionists are fed up. They have seen people all day, but that is what I experience first. Then I don't see the same doctor twice and they're all locums and then they only deal with one issues at a time for a 5 minute appointment. Why do they want me to keep going back. Waiting on some results and the GP receptionists said ring the consultant. The receptionists might be having a bad day but treat me like I'm human.

"Midwife is okay but doesn't respond to me"

My experience with the midwife here has been okay overall but she doesn't respond to my messages or return my calls. I have left voicemails at the main office and never gotten a call back in the past.

"GP really listen to me"

I've had the same GP service since I was little and she's really good. Really listens and makes sure you are referred on to the correct place. She is often busy but will always speak to me on the phone and will always make time to see us.

"Rude and unhelpful staff"

Not very helpful. I can't get any appointments and reception are very rude.

"Same advice every time"

When you call them with a problem they tell you to sleep, drink water and only take one tablet for everything and that's it.

There is a lack of communication at all levels. They took 6 months to do a simple referral to the Royal.

"Easy to get appointments"

It's easy to get appointments. You wait 20 minutes and get one when I need it. The doctors are good as they listen to me.

"Long waits but staff are excellent."

It's okay. There can be long waits sometimes. My husband is seen regularly but that is because of his dementia. Getting through can be a nightmare. GP's are excellent, even the receptionists. It's just very long and you wait too long to get through to them.

"Really hard to get appointments."

It's really hard to get appointments. Communication is alright. Sometimes I feel that you ask the surgery one thing and they don't do it because they don't know the right thing to do. It's hard sometimes.

"Can't get appointments."

When you call them they say they are busy. Even if I walk in. Don't have appointments all the time. The GP opens at 8:30 and they say the practice is busy and at 9am there's no appointments.

"Always get an appointment."

Whenever I need an appointment they give me one immediately.

I have two children and it's always a challenge to get an appointment for them.

"Receptionists talk over me, GP's fairly good"

The appointment system is good but the reception staff are not clear on the type of appointment. They have on occasion talked over me which I have found rude. The doctors are fairly good.

"Brilliant doctors when you see them"

Long wait on the phone to be told there are no appointments. The receptionists are okay. The doctors are brilliant when you see them.

"Can get appointments"

Great, can get appointments . See face to face. I was there yesterday. Phoned first thing for my son. Gave him an appointment within an hour.

"Not been able to get appointment."

Not been able to get appointment. Unable to get through so went in person could not get appointment. Doctors are good, if you can get to see them.

"Reception staff are not friendly at all"

Had a few issues with this service. Reception staff are not friendly at all. No Communication. However they are excellent with sending out med packs, and printing off letters on time. For an individual who has a diagnosis of bipolar disorder staff show no understanding and are very rude and abrupt.

"It was difficult to get in touch"

It was difficult to get in touch during lockdown. Hard to get through in the mornings, all appointments go quickly and have to call back in afternoon.

"Hard to get an Appointment"

Always hard to get through for an appointment. Had to use a support service and get someone to collect my prescription from the city centre - ill with Covid.
Experienced rude GPs in the past too.
Always asked questions which require me to declare my sexuality.

"Issues getting through"

Everytime I try and call at 0830 to get an appointment I have never been successful. I am always waiting in line and in the end I have to end the call because I am either driving, school run or at work. It is just impossible. I tried to call yesterday (16/11/2021) at 15:35, 15:36, 15:37 & then again at 16:43 I enquire about my referral and other things but I said it was closed due to a coronavirus emergency. Everytime I have tried to contact them there is always something which Is going on there. Its just impossible.

"Terrible practice!"

Terrible surgery! Reception staff are all new with no experience. If you can get through in half an hour you’re lucky, only to be told there are no call backs available and try again tomorrow. When I went to collect a letter that was important the receptionist had managed to lose it within 10 minutes. When told the practice secretary had only just printed it she became flustered. I was told she was going upstairs to check, she printed a copy of the letter which was not on the correct paper or signed. She then had the cheek to charge £25 for the letter. This is one of a few examples of poor service I could give. There are no regular doctors for continuation of care. Trying to collect a repeat prescription took 3 visits as the receptionist had no idea where it was or if it had even been done. Terrible practice!

"I have been misdiagnosed"

I have been miss diagnosed, i have had them not call me for my phone calls, i have had them tell me I have to go to A&E because they couldn’t see me even though there was nothing seriously wrong with me. When i pick up prescriptions there i have to ask the pharmacist how to take them and if theres any side affects i need to look out for as they dont tell you anything when handing them over. Honestly the only positive ive got to say about them is one of there reception team member was extremely kind and patient with me when i rang up to make an official complaint! And would you believe the very next day i got a phone call off them asking me if i was able to get to the surgery as doctor would like to see me!!!! It shouldn’t take s complaint to make that happen!. If someone has been ill for over a month you would want to be seeing them to get to the bottom of what’s wrong!.

Absolutely rubbish cant ever get an appointment and staff need further training.

"Service is appalling"

Since being 'bought' out Service is appalling. I understand the constraints of Covid but the practice doctors appear to have adopted a couldn't care less attitude. Indeed since the buy out in April 2020 my only medical advice has come from the Nurse Practiotioner
