The CT scan was not done properly at Sutton Cottage Hospital.
Staff are very well mannered postive attitude always friendly
After years of sporadic apts with my GP for osteoarthritis in many of my joints the latest area tobe affected my lower back pain, swollen leg and completely numb foot. I was eventually referred to the Cottage Hospital S/C. After attending I now feel as though there is hope. I was listened to. I was examined. I was given sensible realistic information and at last referred for an MRI.
Living in constant pain changes the way you live both mentally and physically it's a real life changer. It seems some medics in the Orthopaedic profession find degenerative damage tears and crumbled joints ordinary run of the mill 'boring' issues to deal with. However right from my interaction with the receptionist the whole experience has lifted my mood considerably and given me hope. Thank you
I just want to cancel a Physio appt on 17 June as have broken my hand. Jane Stickney appt with Connor. 10.15. Trying to Phone Is waste of time
Following a recent phone call to Sutton Cottage Hospital, the receptionist was extremely helpful, and went out of her way to help with my enquiry. Thank you.
Waste 30 minute or more in a queue, just for the call to drop as soon as you reach number 2 in the queue. Clearly they have no intention of helping anyone. How about the staff and managers stop hiding and start working like the rest of us!
Received a text with appt. date, it turns out it wasn’t an appointment. Would like to know why it was sent, is this a way of them just keeping within the government appointment time scales? What a total waste of time.

Trying to call Cottage Hospital, Sutton Coldfield is a Joke
Doctor did not give eye contact to my mother ; he ignored me (daughter) he was told my mother couldn’t hear very well but looked at his computer screen when talking to her and did not increase the volume of his voice ; I had to relay what he said ; he spoke in one word reply to questions ; he made my mom cry ; she wanted to go hone ; my mother is over 80 ; I asked if she could have a cortisone injection ; he said no : I have looked this up and she would be able to have one for her condition ; he told my mom the pain was physocological; she has been in agony with the pain and has trouble walking on her one ankle ; she was extremely upset ; she does have arthritis in her foot ; her ankle gets so swollen she can’t walk on it ; the doctors manner was extremely dismissive ; the trainee physiotherapist was lovely ; she managed to calm my mother down and try to explain what the doctor had said ;
