"Good & friendly staff"
Quite good, good at making appointments and the staff are super friendly there too.

The Sherwood House Medical Practice provides an excellent service. I find appointments easy to book and the doctors are great.
Brilliant. At 8am I go online, there's a list of appointments and choose the GP. Better than on the phones. I get a phone call and then can be told to come in face to face. Triage is brilliant. I'm listened too and given help. Very good.
The doctor found my Dad's cancer during a routine check and my Grandad is in remission and was taken care of.
They are great, the GP, the receptionists. They are all lovely and it's easy to make appointments with them. I feel listened to by my GP and my voice and opinion matters.
I can always get an appointment. If I ring at 8am or 1pm I have no problems getting a same day one. The staff are helpful. No problems.
I moved to them in December. They have been good so far. Quite flexible with appointments. Online or face to face. I don't find it difficult to book.
Very difficult to get an appointment. I can't see my own GP. It's always a new face.
Was dreading my smear test. As a mature lady I have found recent experiences uncomfortable but the nurse, not only explained everything to me and asked about my concerns before the procedure, but was so gentle and kind that the actual procedure was not uncomfortable at all. She also explained everything about what I could expect from the results afterwards. Thank you.
The pharmacy here is very quick in dealing with repeat prescriptions. Excellent service delivery.
Very good at giving appointments, much better than my previous GP.
They are very good. Their services are professional too. I am satisfied with the service.
As a service user I am satisfied with the service. Whenever I go there I receive a proper service and treatment.
I can get appointments and they do a call back service. GPs are good. They mainly do telephone appointments but they do offer face to face appointments too.
They went through a rough time but now they try and ring you back to save you waiting on the line. If they feel anything is wrong they do refer you to a specialist. Really pleased with them now so you don't have to hang on the phone. Getting past the receptionists can be difficult but the doctors are lovely.
They have been okay. I haven't met my midwife yet. I have an appointment in August to see her. Good communication has been given on how to contact my midwife I have any concerns.
Excellent GPs and nurses. Poor for getting appointments. You have to wait for a week to see a GP.
I will give them 3 stars because sometimes they are excellent but sometimes they are just mediocre.
Very good GP who listens to our issues and always tries to help.
When you phone you can't see the same doctor. They don't know what's happening with your care or your history. The hospital referred me back to GP but they didn't know anything about it so left me to it. They didn't discuss my results or give me aspirin.
Excellent surgery. All of the staff are very kind and helpful. The GPs always go that extra mile for you.
The delay was terrible. It's impossible to get appointments. The last time we got an appointment after 2 weeks. When he got the call the system was already full so he then waited for another 2 weeks.
It is very hard to get appointments even when you are in severe pain.
Very difficult to get an appointment and you can't see your own GP. It's the locum GP all the time.
Phone lines are always too busy, and run out before you get anywhere. Online appears to be geared up for paid services only. If you call in at reception, they tell you to phone or go online. Pointless being registered at this practice. Used to be good, friendly and approachable. Not so now. Avoid.
I think they're very good. They have more choice and are very good.
They are very good. I have a chronic illness and they have given me open access and I can get an appointment with my own GP easily.
Since covid it's gone bad. It is not just me there are more people that are unhappy with this GP practice. Difficulty is with appointments. You phone and no one ever answers. 8:05am and it's "everything's finished" Receptionist ask about what the appointment is for. It's personal, I am not telling a receptionist what is wrong. My friends feels the same.
They are Good, 11 years with them, very happy
Needed an appointment and was offered a face to face or call, very friendly receptionist even helped sort out a medication problem. Great practice
Easy to get an appointment. Same day given. Morning times can take a while.
Not good, we don’t use them very often but would struggle if we needed an appointment.
Hard to get an appointment and support from the service and waiting times are long.
No trouble at all. If you say you need to speak to somebody or see somebody face to face they can see you in a couple of days if it’s not urgent. They do my medication review and need to check my blood pressure, happy to wait a couple of days.
They're okay, very nice, cooperative, friendly. I can call them and get appointments with them. Very nice.
A lot less easier than it used to be. Used to be able to ring up and get an appointment in a day or 2, now most appointments are telephone appointments by default. You have to go through additional hoops to get face to face appointments.
They've been brilliant, really good. Several fantastic doctors. Phone appointments quite easily, fast appointments and they prioritise children and elderly parents.
Went to have vaccination done. The service was really good. The staff and nurse was helpful, was very informative and was guided to the right place. They made sure I was ok.
Very good and helpful.
Very good service provided whenever you go there.
Waited 40 minute's on phone told no appointments and hung up on me
Excellent- always very helpful and go above and beyond to help you.
Rude reception staff, they don't listen to you at all.
Appreciate the 2 window option to call for appointments . It provides patients with a flexible opportunity to get an appointment.
I NEVER will get used to have just phone appointment and consequently any other service.
Good
Friendly and efficient receptionists and friendly, caring doctors
Tried to get through to surgery to arrange covid jab following a voicemail from surgery. Both times on phone for 40 minutes then told twice could not speak to the person concerned they would have to ring back. This surgery as totally gone downhill during a time where the most vulnerable patients need help the most.
Online survey questionnaire: What has worked well for you during lockdown?
Answer: Sherwood house medical practice
No problems at all with GP- can be hit and miss to get an appointment but I usually get one by physically attending the surgery. care and treatment excellent at surgery- always very clean-
Good support, help and advice is always available. Appointment system and waiting time can be improved.
I am very happy from my GP. Very good and helpful doctors always ready to support and guide you. I was referred to healthy minds by my GP, which helped me a lot and raise my confidence level.
I was waiting to be seen by GP. I met a young woman in her 20’s . She was distressed and talking to herself. She had clear signs of mental health issues as she was talking to the voices in her mind. She said she wants to be seen by a doctor at the surgery, but they were not accepting her or able to help. She just wanted to talk to somebody as was in clear crisis. She started crying as I started talking to her. I had to ask my doctor to search suicide prevention hotline number and then passed this to her. Receptionists at GP practices should be trained In suicide prevention and mental health patients shouldn’t be just left on their own in crisis.
Not one experience just very good ones whenever I have needed to visit. I have also recommended to others that have since changed to the surgery. The staff are always really helpful especially when I have had poorly children. I am also happy to see any doctor at the surgery because again they are all very helpful & professional
Difficult to simply ask health professionals quick questions without having to make an appointment. Would be good to have an email address to ask such questions or a secured telephone line. Also involvement in discussions about our care. Agencies don’t talk to each other e.g. between GP in Birmingham and HIV consultant in London.
Thank you for your review. We are unable to offer an email service between patients and GP due to data protection.
Doctors good, consultations good. Getting a routine appointment takes 2 to 3 weeks. Staff at reception not always helpful.
Good service but very difficult to get same day appointment. Few months ago I caught a flu and was feeling very ill but was only able to get an appointment after two days which is not good.
I always have a good experience, from receptionists to Drs and other clinical staff. The staff show genuine concern.
