"I've been with this practice for 47 years"

I can't believe how this practice is still going, I have waited 1hr 10 mins for someone to answer phone. Hubby walked in no one in, just receptionist talking, no phone ringing, yet I'm on phone. When answered they said they were very busy ???

"Long waiting time, never on time"

I have booked an appointment to have blood tests, to be told after an hour that they booked the tests wrong and needs to reschedule me.
When l came for the second appointment l had to wait for over an hour. The staff are slow and inefficient.

"Terrible, they're all over the place"

Terrible. Very hard to get an appointment. It took 25 minutes to get through this morning. they they call you back anytime of day with no specific time given. If you're at work you could miss it. They seem all over the place as they even gave me a wrong link to book an appointment online.

"Better at answering phones now"

It's just getting the appointment, it's a bit of everything. Better at answering the phone than they used to be, used to wait 50 minutes and now got down to 10 minutes.

"They gossip and make you feel small"

They don't answer calls quickly. The staff can be rude and often gossiping and talking rather than answering the phones. Makes you feel like your not human. They make you feel small and it's not okay.

"Hit and miss"

It's hit and miss. The receptionists are okay. It's just trying to get a appointment is difficult.

The care is very good, once you can get an appointment. It can take a while to get one.

"Staff are good"

They tend to do more appointments over the phone but if I ask for a face to face they will fit it in no struggles. The staff are good too.

"No follow up"

Was prescribed high blood pressure tablet over 6 months ago and have not had any follow up appointments to see how I am getting in with them.

"Very difficult to get through."

They just don't answer the phone at all. It is very difficult to get hold of them.

"Not getting prescriptions on time"

when trying to order prescriptions on line there is a date that you can't order before or they are refused. then when you do order it takes 5 days before they are done usually waiting for Dr to sign, then when you phone to say the that you have been told this are asked why did you leave it so late to order

"Can hardly get an appointment"

Terrible. Can hardly get an appointment. Won’t give you the medicines you need. For eye infection to diabetic patients they say to buy the medicine over the counter. Reception staff want to know what problem is before allocating doctor, even when I say it’s sensitive. They say they need to know so they can allocate the correct doctor, when they should just allocate any doctor.

"Can’t get appointment through phoning system"

Hopeless. Can’t get appointment through phoning system. There use to be 4 permanent GP’S now mainly trainees. The surgery would rather us not come in there. The staff make you feel clueless. Can call 8am and still be waiting at 12pm. Feel like they don’t want to answer. Asthma review done over the phone by nurse. Nothing face to face. Got to the stage where I don’t want to contact my GP.

Things are not the way it use to be. They have stopped so many services and blame Covid for it.

"hanging on the phone for over an hour"

This is the second time I have tried to get through for an appointment to speak to a doctor only to wait for over an hour each time and then been "cut off" no wonder people are turning to A.E if I could leave No Stars I would practice has really gone down hill

Very difficult to get appointments all the time. Staff is rude and it seems they have been trained to discourage people from coming for appointments.

"When we get there they’re ok"

When we get there they’re ok. But getting appointments is the problem. Closed between 12 – 2pm, On Wednesdays they’re half day. When you ring up can be lucky if get through. Sometimes you have to push to see them face to face, when I have needed so see someone.

"Have been trying to see an actual G.P."

I have been trying to see a G.P. for several weeks with a rash on my leg first it was phone consultation I couldn't send photo I haven't a smart phone, then when I did get 2 appointments because the thing wasn't responding to treatment they were with a trainee and a paramedic

Zero star for them. They didn't see me face to face for at least 8 weeks, which is horrible.

"No face to face appointments"

They will not give face to face appointments out, just direct you to the hospital. Telephoning for an appointment you can be on the phone for up to 50 minutes. Then the doctor will ring back after a few hours and you get a 4 minute consultation. Its disgusting how they are treating their patients. They are puting extra pressure on the nhs and patients are DYING, due to their lack of care.

"Poor"

My husband had symptoms and was seen the following day by the practice which was a good service. However following this he struggled to get the results for his tests after verbally being told they were okay but we wanted official confirmation.

He also struggled with non-specific symptoms of tiredness and so given the blood bottle shortage we elected to have some private blood tests taken which was shared with the GP. I am a GP myself and felt as though I was having to be my husband’s doctor because we were unable to arrange an appointment to discuss the blood test with a doctor.
Despite going into the Practice on several occasions to arrange an appointment we were promised a call back which never happened.

The system that the Practice use it is very frustrating because you are not able to pre-book for non-urgent things. Every contact with the practice requires an 8 am phone call and I had to go to the practice in person because the phone lines simply cut off when one rang at eight. When I tried to book a routine appointment for my husband, I was not able to and was promised this call back which never materialised. In the end we had to make a complaint which being in a GP myself and knowing the pressures my colleagues are under I didn’t wish to do but it seemed to be the only way to get a response.

I know some practices are using the system of calling on the day for everything to manage workload and in our experience it was just not workable. On top of that we didn’t receive the callback that we were expecting. For people who work it really isn’t possible to achieve care.

Consequently we have lost faith that the practice will be available if we really do need them urgently and are in the process of looking for another practice .

Please address this system of not being able to pre-book appointments, it really doesn’t seem to work for patients and please do not promise things that you don’t appear to be able to deliver. It really isn’t a safe level of care

"Not serving community."

It is now 28th September 2021 no flu jabs available. They will tell you when the arrive. I doubt it same last year ran out. Who does the ordering? Go to surgery shutters down no explanation why. All my friends have had theirs. Recommend good service at your pharmacy and much nicer staff.

"Unable to get an appointment"

Unable to get an appointment and covid 2nd jab delayed. Was told by receptionist that 14-15 weeks from first dose was acceptable, against JCVI guidelines recommended 8 weeks between jabs! Since have made a complaint but haven’t had a response, 3 months now.

"The service is shocking"

You can't get an appointment by phone and definitely not face to face it takes at least 30 minutes to get through on the phone only to be told to call back after midday. The service is shocking

Unable to get dr appointment, up to 45 minutes on hold when you telephone them, and sometimes they cut your call.

"Worse than usual"

Generally Terrible. Restrictions during the pandemic have made life difficult for all of us but the service here is worse than usual. I have recently phoned three surgeries for various reasons. Two of them answered and dealt with issues in a matter of minutes. At Shenley Green I have typically been on hold for thirty minutes or substantially longer before getting to talk to anybody. The response has sometimes been inadequate and inappropriate, if not confused and contradictory. They did not appear to know how to deal with mental health problems. Nor did they seem to offer any kind of photo or video consultation. Their response to recent contacts has delayed treatment and allowed conditions to deteriorate. I must say that some of the doctors are very good, if only you could get to talk to them when you need them.

Phone is never picked up when calling well hardly ever and it's nearly impossible to get a face to face consultation can't stand the phone consultations .

"Reception staff not very organised"

Doctors are amazing but the reception staff don't seem to be very organised. Referrals are not put through promptly and they have booked my son in for injections too early and didn't reschedule when the nurse asked them to resulting in a wasted appointment.

"No face to face consultation"

Stupid! After listening to long messages about not calling for the vaccine, when you do finally get through, you get a call with the GP, they appear to not want a face-to-face consultation. Bit hard to describe some stuff, when even you know the GP need to actually see it, or carry out a check.

"Never see the same doctor twice"

You can take 45 minutes to get through to the reception. If you do get through appointments pre Covid19 are 2 or 3 weeks away and you never see the same doctor twice. They do blood tests but never tell you the results unless you chase them and that can take 40 mins on the phone.

There opening hours and appointment system is horrible. I think I won’t be able to see my GP in next two months.

"Empty waiting area"

I went to my surgery to a repeat prescription. would like to know why the surgery waiting area was empty because if you ask for an appointment they don't have any.
