"Abscess treatment"
I attended the surgery on Friday with an obviously infected sebaceous cyst that had become painful, red and very swollen. I was sent away from the GP with no treatment, just the promise of a private referral letter. Over the weekend the cyst got worse and worse so I attended the GP again on Monday via an emergency same day appointment. The same GP confirmed an abscess had now formed and I’d need to be taken into surgery ASAP. Incredibly poor standard of care.

I needed to speak to my GP regarding prostate concerns. I requested a PSA test regarding this issue, and after a brief chat with the doctor, a PSA test was organised.

Expected to use nhs app which isn't kept up to date. Patients treated like brainless idiots. Not listened to. Tired of only having tablets dished out. Requested a summary of diagnosis. Didn't received one. Requested referral to specialist dentist get a blank stare and told they can't. Fed up to the max with this surgery. Daughter been waiting for number of years for learning assessment. Period issues ignored.

The Dr took note of my concerns and as taken appropriate steps with giving filling in questionnaire, to see if any further guidance is needed. He showed an empathy and understanding towards my concerns, which was appreciated.

I don’t really have a problem with the service here, they are quite good. I stick to one doctor who is very good. It can sometimes be difficult to get an appointment even if you call as soon as they open. If it is too difficult I call 111 and they get me an appointment at the hospital as it is quicker. While my usual doctor here is good when I have had to see other doctors I haven’t been satisfied with the care I have received.

Most of the time I see a locum doctor. There is no continuity of care. Very difficult to get an appointment, especially emergency ones.

They're just okay. I don't like going there because the doctors don't really listen. You barely get an appointment and when you eventually get one after a long wait the doctors just talk and don't listen. The receptionists are okay but the rest is not good.

The GP is alright I suppose. It's just getting an appointment when your working is hard. You have to call at 8am or go into the surgery and you can't get an appointment. It's wrong. A bit more support for working people is needed.

I don’t go for myself, go for the kids but they don’t listen. Terrible to get an appointment. You start ringing at 8:30 and lucky if you get through at 9am and then all appointments have gone.

I don't feel they do well with mental health. The doctor made me feel like a hypochondriac when I needed mental health support. I ended up getting support from my children's nursery who referred me to a support worker and Womens Aid for support. The doctors could have been helpful and referred me to a NHS service.

They saw me straight away but it did take a long time on the phone. You can be on the phone for half an hour then there's no appointments left. I told them my symptom and they said they would refer me on an emergency pathway.
