"The service has completely let her down."
My daughter was diagnosed with autism when she was 14. At 14, she was hearing voices. She had first hospital admission in 2016 and within 2 weeks she was admitted again, twice in London.
In 2017, she went to Camino Healthcare in Tipton. Her medication was working and she felt better and no longer hearing voices.
She wanted to come off medication last December 2017, her doctor at riverside lodge started to reduce her medication. I didn’t agree with this as I’d seen a massive dip in her mental health before when she came off medication. She came home from Camino healthcare without any care plan. She was again admitted to hospital on and off, but she was never given any care planes. Since then her MH has completely deteriorated.
I begged the doctors at Riverside to put her back on medication in Feb, they didn’t and her MH fully dipped. In Easter they finally put her back on the medication. Never organised any aftercare support working, counselling, admitted etc.
The service has completely let her down.
Thank you for providing us with your feedback about your daughter's experience of Riverside Lodge. In order to look into the concerns you have raised, I will need a little more information from you. Please phone me on 0121 466 7128 or email Alison.last@bhamcommunity.nhs.uk at your convenience.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
