Not listened to by District Nurses, poor care
My Mum was receiving end of life care by the paramedics and pain relief in Feb 2022, but the district nurses disputed that she needed the pain relief, until the Opal team insisted that she needed it. When they arrived they hadn't seen her for two days and said that they would not fit the driver before they had even seen her. The Opal team had to issue the instruction twice for a morphine driver to be administered. We did not feel listened to by them and this resulted in poor care and consequently led to Mum being in more pain than she needed to be for the next 2 days.
