"Absolutely disgusting services!"
Every time I call I can never get through to anyone I have to leave a voicemail message, this is an absolute disgrace that they can’t answer a telephone. Each time I am told the same lies over and over again, the paediatrician is on annual leave, the receptionist are working from home due to covid! We can’t see children at the moment as it’s a risk, it’s about time you started to do your jobs properly again and stop failing all these children that you are refusing to see!! It’s absolutely disgusting the way that the receptionist speak to parents/carers if they don’t like what the parent/carer says they get all defensive and then have a bad attitude!
I think it’s about time Park House done all a training programme for the incompetent staff that they have employed and actually taught them manners! Think it’s disgusting when you ask for the complaints procedure they tell you they don’t know it???
Please accept my apologies as I have only became aware of your feedback.
Please can I ask that you make contact with me , so we can look into your poor experience as this is not what we would expect you to have received.

"Fail children completely"
There is no facility to speak to anyone when you call. You have to rely on someone calling you back. Which never happens. There is no effort to take the time to speak to children and understand the causes of the behaviour. It is simply a box ticking exercise. Children are abandoned and offered no support.
"Totally incompetent"
Totally incompetent staff all round apart from the OT. No awareness of the conditions they are supposed to be diagnosing, get defensive when a parent in a more knowledgeable position questions their level of training considering they are supposed to be diagnosing. Never see the same person, no one communicates so you literally go round in circles. Complaints have been made but the result is very waffly and basically full of nothing but excuses which are meaningless
Dear Parent

"Bad experience with paediatrician"
This paediatrician comes to our child’s special school. Our son is autistic and needs help. He is very intelligent and with this support could thrive, but I feel this doctor has just written him off as a child with disability. If paediatrician would look him as a person who can make contribution in society it would make a big difference. My child is not just someone who needs constant support he could also contribute.
Dear Parent
Thank you for providing feedback about Park House Child Development Centre on the Healthwatch Birmingham website. I am sorry for the delay in providing a response to your comments, but regrettably I was unaware of your posting until yesterday afternoon.
I am sorry you feel the paediatrician has not looked at your son in a way which respects him as a person who will make a contribution in society, and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns with you so these can be shared and reflected on with the paediatrician concerned. This will help the doctor to learn and to improve how they work with other children and their families in the future.
Please email me via Alison.last@bhamcommunity.nhs.uk or phone 0121 466 7128 at your convenience. Should I be unable to take your call at the time, please do leave a message and I will call you back as soon as possible.
I look forward to hearing from you.
