"Complaining about Omnia practice receptionist"
I have an ongoing difficulty I have experienced when trying to book a GP appointment for my child who was unwell. On multiple occasions including 15 December and 19 December I attempted to make an appointment between 08:00 and 08:11. Despite calling within this time frame and trying on different days I was unable to secure an appointment. More concerning is the behaviour of the receptionist. Her attitude was unprofessional dismissive and rude. Instead of offering help or guidance she spoke to me in a very unpleasant manner which made an already stressful situation even worse. As a parent trying to seek medical care for a sick child this treatment is unacceptable. Because of these repeated issues it has become extremely difficult to access medical care at this practice. I am now seriously considering changing my GP due to the lack of support and the poor standard of service provided at the reception. I hope this matter will be taken seriously and addressed promptly as patients—especially children—should not be prevented from receiving timely medical care due to administrative barriers or inappropriate staff behaviour.
"Rubbish"
Rubbish. Took a while to get an appointment and to get a referral for an ingrown toenail. They just gave me antibiotics.

The people are nice and friendly. Not bad there. No one really there to talk to though.

I find it hard to use the online booking system because I am no good with modern technology and also due to the language barrier. I have to get family members to try and book appointments for me.

I have to rely on family members to help me book appointments because I cannot use the online system myself due to language barriers.

The online booking system works really well for me, but I know that it does not work so well for people who face language barriers and for people who struggle with modern technology, for example my parents really struggle and I have to help them with this.
"No appointments & long wait times"
There are never any appointments. When you do get an appointment the doctors are nice but you can wait a long time to be seen when attending the surgery for your appointment. I waited over an hour past my appointment to see a nurse recently.

They have offered me a good service, no problems at all. Booking appointments is good and communication and feedback is very good.

They're okay and I don't access them as much. I saw my midwife a few times and that was okay. If I need them they'll give appointments. It's okay.

Terrible. I phone up and wait in the queue and you get cut off when you wait a long time. Receptionist can be cold and robotic. It feels like they're stressed and they get an earful from their managers. Lots of changing of systems that doesn't help. They don't spend money on the correct things and get their fingers out.

More chance of seeing his majesty the king than a GP. The service is diabolical. They told me to go to hospital for my knee.

Very good online services but they take ages to reply by phone.
"Such a bad surgery"
To start with you're told phone the surgery at 8 which I did. I was number 13, then at 8:14 got to number 1, at 8:20 line went dead. Fed up, this is such a bad surgery.

Good. I access appointments over the phone and they give same day appointments. They also do home visits.

Good, I can get appointments with them. The online form is easy and asks lots of questions then after you send it they get back to you with an appointment the same day. They're good. You can call too, very good.

Very helpful GP but reception the team is very rude and unhelpful.

Waiting at least for an hour to get them on the phone for appointments. Staff are rude too.

The online appointment system if excellent and the GPs are helpful.

I can get same day appointments and I don't wait too long either. They are respectful and they listen.

It's difficult to get in touch with them now they have online GP request forms. We don't always have the same GP so you don't get that continuity or know the history or what is normal for him.

When I take my son there, there is one doctor who understands. He is quite friendly too.

Really bad. They will see the children on the same day but you wait on hold for ages and then there are no appointments for us. If I email them I will get one for 5 days later.

Took 3 months to be referred to physiotherapy. It's okay getting appointments. They give good information.

I think they're okay, at times. I can't get an appointment but if it's non urgent I would do it online and they then get back to you with an appointment after a couple of days.

It takes so so long to get appointments especially if you need a specialist appointment. They don't have anything for weeks.

Rubbish, absolutely rubbish. I was the first person in there and they said there were no appointments. I moved to another GP.
"Helpful with my mental health"
They said they would put me on tablets but I'm getting help from a dietician. The tablets I am taking are making me put on weight. The GP has referred me onto the mental health and wellbeing service which I will start soon. They are helpful with my mental health.
"Too bad of a wait"
The waiting time was not too bad. I had to wait two days as I wrote to them online. The staff are really nice. There is good parking and a good waiting area. To improve they could provide more information about my condition.

I am very satisfied with the excellent service received. The GPs are great.

Really good. You get same day appointments if it's an emergency and they give call backs to see if you are okay, so they always follow up. They are excellent.

Always a long wait on the phone and there is no patient, doctor confidentiality. Reception staff ask too many personal questions.

They're good. I have not been there in a while. My aunty goes a lot as the kids are always sick and they give you appointments at 8AM or 1PM. They do a telephone conversation and if they need to they will bring you in after. They're good.

I couldn't get an appointment. It was very crowded. I waited for a long time but didn't get to see the doctor. I had a message to get a blood pressure check but I had already had one done so I asked why. I have health issues but can't see a doctor.

I cannot get to see the doctors. Couldn't get any GP for the past 2 days. It's always difficult to get through for an appointment. I have to look for help myself.

The GP's are good but the reception staff are rude and unhelpful. They don't share information at all and they don't listen to you.

They are very good in all aspects. Appointments are always available and the reception staff are very kind and polite.

They're nice. The community midwife is the same one I see every time and she is very nice. They communicate via text and regularly through WhatsApp. They always keep to the appointments. The GP practice is quite good. It is all an online system. You send a message and they get back back to you the same day. I think they could improve by getting the GP to get back to you more often as it's usually a nurse associate that contact back. I then have to request to see a GP. That part of the system could be better.

They are okay. Getting an appointment is a bit difficult but you do get one after an effort of being on the phone for at least an hour.

Appointment availability is slowly getting better after covid. At least you get seen within a day or two now and you no longer have to wait weeks.

Been trying 3 weeks to get an appointment. Keep being told there's no appointments to ring back at 2 pm then it's ring back in morning at 8am. I'm diabetic I'm having problems with my feet and legs. I'm at my tether. As I'm so worried about my health.

Getting an appointment is very bad. Once you get an appointment they are fine. The staff are helpful but it's just near impossible to get an appointment. You end up visiting A&E when it's not an emergency.

Horrible, not easy to reach them over the phone. Reception don’t want to talk about anything, If I need an emergency appointment you have to do it online. They take 4 days to give an appointment and during that time one can get better or worse off.

Everything is all done online. Can ring but there’s no appointment. It’s ridiculous so I rather avoid using them if I don’t have to.

Don't take the health of the community serious enough. They brush it under the carpet. Take up to 2 weeks to get an appointment and then you're not listened to. I ended up moving practices because of this.

They're okay. Sometimes they won't give me an appointment but I will just try again the next day.

Triage service, doctor will call if needed. Missed calls can’t get face to face services, Should be open till late.

Very hard to get an appointment and getting through on telephone. They will say call at 8am, don’t provide appointment in advance. Can call 100 times on telephone when you get through no appointments it’s frustrating.

If I can get appointments straight away would be better, but good care when I get it, just takes a long time to get appointment.
"Removed from list without being told"
Could never find an appointment. The receptionist took my name off the register without telling me. I called to make an appointment and they told me I wasn't on their list. They then sent me an email after I had tried to make an appointment to say I had been removed from their list. They're not a good practice at all.

They are not answering the phone. I was on the phone for one hour and they didn't answer. I had a urine infection and had to call the next day where they eventually answered and gave me an appointment. You can try to book online but they don't answer the phones.

They're great, I've been with them 35 years. I say my name and they give me and appointment. They're brilliant, really happy with them.

If I can get an appointment. The queue system only lets 10 people call at once then they don't let you though. I can call at 8am and there's no appointments left so they tell you to call 111.

I have been with the surgery for many years, since I was little. Over the years the service level is not so good. I have recently tried to make an appointment for my son, in the phone queue waiting for 2 hours! To then be told there are no appointments left and to call back at 2pm. The system needs to be changed drastically it’s not working. I am appalled that I cannot get an appointment at my own surgery.

No problems with the GP. But I have to ring 95 times. They helped my son when he was really ill. I can call them in the morning or the afternoon, and when I get through, they give me an appointment for the same day.

I phone them and I call them at 8:30am or in the afternoon and I can get an appointment when I need one. The doctor calls me back and tells you to come to the surgery within an hour. I feel they give more priority to children. If they don't have appointments they send you the pharmacy and that is helpful.

They don't offer a lot of services. I had to call them to arrange my babies 6 week check up and to arrange the 8 week vaccinations. Never get appointments. Phone at 9am and then 2pm and the appointments have gone. They're too busy, Children aren't a priority.

Whenever I try to book an appointment over the phone, The lines are always busy and when we do get through there are no appointments available or they say a doctor can ring you back and that is usually a long wait. If you have children and you are working then it is hard to see someone - a doctor or nurse - and that is really frustrating and as a result you could get more sick by not being seen.
