"Can't praise the GP enough"
I can't praise the GP enough.
I can't praise the GP enough.
Get on well with them. The online service is easy to use.
They can't do anything wrong, they're really good. A great surgery and can't fault them at all.
It's not that bad as I can get appointments at times that I need them. I don't need to go that often. The last time I went the doctor listened and gave me good advice. So I'm very happy with them.
Most of the appointments are over the phone. The GPs are good and reception staff are helpful.
My GP surgery constantly refuses to prescribe my medication and to acknowledge my diagnoses and to help me access pain relief for my chronic pain condition because I'm only 21.
I got an appointment with them the same day. The GP told me to go back to the hospital.
They're alright. Sometimes I put my symptoms in online and then they say call 999. I had a swelling in my mouth but I knew it didn't need 999 so I went to the chemist instead. They need to fix that online form.
They're very good, very helpful and I like the service.
Very good staff with caring and helpful GPs
Excellent five star treatment provided.
They're alright. I'm trans so they referred me to the gender clinic and said it could take 6 months but the referral came quicker than that. Been really good. The GP listened to me and been so so good.
Very helpful and kind GP who is always ready to help. The staff are very helpful and always try to accommodate the requests.
No problems when phoning surgery. Staff friendly. Able to see practitioner that day. Much better than my previous doctors. Repeat prescriptions dealt with very well. Have restored our confidence in NHS.
I am very happy with my GP. I like the new online appointment system. I can get appointments very easily.
I have been with them many years. The care, treatment, support and information provided to me is excellent.
Brilliant. As soon as I ring they will come straight out. I don't have to beg them. They have been amazing for dad and were the same for mom. They have been incredible. I cannot thank them enough for all they do.
They are really good here for urgent treatment. NHS 111 gave me a slot here and they see you on time. No messing around.
A good GP surgery. It can take a while to get through and book an appointment which you don't always get for the same day. You can't get one for the future, for say 2 to 3 weeks either which is what you need sometimes. They don't offer that. Calling up everyday can be long.
I am not getting information, especially about medication to the mental health team. My medication was supposed to change and they didn't do it. They didn't prescribe the new medication. Such a lack of communication.
Brilliant. Easy to get an appointment. I phone in the morning but all the doctors are really good. All appointments are face to face. They are all understanding doctors too. Very good.
They are sound. Brilliant. I am able to get an appointment. I mainly see different doctors but it's fine.
They referred me to the Royal Orthopaedic hospital for hip issues in a timely manner. They chased the progress on my case regularly to keep me updated.
Doctor is lovely, arranges for the appointment through Royal Orthopaedic but they do lose the emails every so often. They are brilliant, they will arrange the appointments.
They're really good. You can walk in and get an appointment. They're really good. Staff know when people are able to use online but are very accommodating of the patients.
They're fine, sometimes I have to wait in the queue on the phone but I do always get appointments when they answer. I had an issue with my nose where a spot appeared but it kept growing. They called me in to look at it and referred me onto to hospital within a week. Another time I went, they sent me straight to hospital and I was there for nearly 2 weeks.
Had to physically go down to them as I was having an issue with my back and I phoned them on the half term and they offered me an appointment with the physiotherapist the following Monday. So they're really good at referring. If I've needed face to face appointments too, I've got one.
They're really good and I can get appointments. I never have any issues, they're not too bad when you call, it's not bad at all.
They are very good and I can get an appointment with them. They are very good.
The problem sometimes is getting to see a doctor, you can always see a nurse.
Great service but poor appointment system need to go early in morning before 8am to get seen. Often referred to nurse practitioner rather than GP.
It's improved immensely, at one point there were long waits on the phones and now I can get appointments. We've been very lucky.
Third visit for the same problem not happy, going to try and get another appointment tomorrow, it’s a joke when you work full time on the opposite side of the city taking time off work and not getting the problem resolved. Never seeing the same doctor twice!
I got appointments during Covid, when did need to see them I get a phone conversation. Have to phone at 8am for an appointment but that doesn't work with work so they need to change it.
I can't get appointment. I ring at 8am to get an appointment and then end up stuck in a queue.
I have been attending this practice for the past 12 months and I have found it outstanding in all aspects. They have a pharmacy and physiotherapist, they're really good. They are even sorting out prescriptions for me and ensuring I see the doctor of my choice.
Very good for appointments and referrals.
I am with them since last so many years and found them very kind, informative & helpful all the time.
I was with them since last 50 years. But since last 2 years was unable to get any appointment or support from them, so I changed my surgery.
Where are the doctors. Very difficult to reach them. No appointments at all. I am 83 years old and can’t use computer so what should I do.
The staff are very rude when you ask for doctors appointment. Instead of listening to patients query they like to impose their opinion and then blame the patients for not booking the appointment.
You only get a phone consultation and that’s very often with the nurse , you can’t get to see the gps at all which is disgusting
GP's are very helpful and cooperative.
Well my first covid jab was in January & I have an assistance dog with me as I'm profoundly deaf. The queue wasn't very long, but was then directed to a tent where I was instructed to sit for 15 minutes,it was pouring with rain & the floor of the tent was wet & there were puddles everywhere. I asked if I could sit in my car with my assistance dog as I didn't want him to have to "settle" on a wet floor in a puddle but was told no. The second jab last Sun the same tent but at least it was dry although the seats were not 2 metres apart.

Friendly staff who have helped me with my own mental health as well as my daughter's even during lockdowns. My asthma review was never forgotten about and when phoning for appointments the staff are always so friendly and understanding so I don't feel I am wasting time
Since I became the main carer for my dad and brother the Dr's and nurses including reception staff have been very supportive.
Poor service, no real care . Almost neglect in certain areas
Poor very difficult to get through on phone, then not very helpful
They have been helpful throughout Covid both over the phone, whilst in surgery and sorting clerical papers such as sick note and changes to repeat prescriptions.
Had both my covid injections at this centre.. Staff were extremely professional and friendly... Run so efficiently and appointments kept to time.. In and out in 30 minutes at both appointments. Cant fault their efficiency.
Excellent- in & out. Well organised
It was done at my doctor shady lane it was quick very well organised I had the pfizer vaccine I felt sick after it bit it pass quickly and for four day after had a bad arm and headache
Great organisation and efficient
All telephonists have been polite and helpful in helping me organise treatment. This is not my registered GP but this surgery provide a service I need. On arrival, they were calm and welcoming and friendly. I am considering leaving my GP practice of 45 years and requesting to join this practice! I can't fault them in any contact I have had with this practice.
Not great through lockdown.
Very good but I do think GPS should start seeing patients again.
Depends who you see,, some doctors are fantastic, others won't listen & just want to prescribe meds. Also receptionists are either helpful, as I'm profoundly deaf or are obviously not trained to cope with deaf people.
Very good
Online survey questionnaire: What has worked well for you during lockdown?
Answer: Medication from a doctor at The Oak Medical Centre.
Getting appointments is very difficult, you call 8am, but can’t get through. You can only see nurse practitioner. Since they have new practice (combined) Its got impossible to get appointments. They just told me to go to walk in clinic. The only way to see a doctor is to pre-book appointments. When I did get to see a GP she was very good and she has referred me to hospital.
I am sorry you are finding it difficult to obtain an appointment
for information we now open 8am-8pm Monday -Friday plus Saturday and Sunday for Pre-bookable appointments
we also have book online available if that helps
We also have 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners available daily who are able to triage your symptoms and refer to a GP if required
also we had 399 DNA's last month which does not help appointment availability
we also accept that we are currently in a very busy period (in all GP practices)
if you would like to make yourself known to the practice we would be happy to discuss
