"Refused appointment with the Dr"
I wanted appointment with GP for myself and my daughter as we had cold and flu for nearly 3 weeks. Said I had to go to pharmacy for coughs and colds. Since when do receptionists act as clinicians. I thought an appointment would be available for us. Well the pharmacist thought I should have see GP, but checked my throat and decided from this that I had no infection hence bought Covonia all in one on his advice. Just hope it works.
"Excellent booking online"
I just booked an appointment for two days time. I just went on the NHS app and was able to pick the best slot. I was shocked as it's usually difficult to get an appointment. There were loads for next week which was excellent. Same day appointments can be booked over the phone which is really good and big positive. The GP is great and really friendly. I was seen on time and referred for physio.
"No complaints"
I have no complaints about the appointments. But you don't get enough time to really discuss each issue. Yesterday we saw a lovely young doctor who is always helpful.
"The nurse gave me help"
I have been here twice to see a nurse. It was fine and she gave me help. I didn't need medication but I got help with my problem.
"A very helpful GP"
A very helpful GP. They referred my son to the Children's very quickly and without wasting any time.
"Couldn't get my medication"
I moved from another surgery to Kingsbury surgery. I ran out of medications. When I requested it from the receptionist, she was so rude and she was not even willing to give me an appointment. She seems to be racist. When I am taking a medication for years, why the GP cannot recommend it straight away. I was told I need to take GP appointment for getting the prescription, but she says appointment is not available. I called 111 for help.
"They're okay"
They're okay. I don't use them too often but I know how to contact them if I need to or if I need help when I'm ill but I rarely get I'll so it's fine.
"Really good"
Really good. Doctor we have is absolutely fantastic. Was referred to hospital within 3 weeks of seeing GP.
"The service is good"
You can get appointments, you can call or use their online service. The doctors are good, I feel the service is good. My son can get appointments and I feel his care is prioritised. They will always give me appointments for him.
"Can get face to face appointments when needed"
I've been here for 40 years. They see me face to face. Whenever I ring and need an appointment, they see me the same day or the next day face to face.
"They're fine"
They're fine. When I phone them they operate a triage system and get in contact with me if an appointment is needed.
"I am satisfied with my GP"
I am satisfied with my GP.
"Excellent and intuitive"
Kingsbury Rd Surgery was taken over by a new GP during lockdown as previous Dr decided to retire. The standards that we have been used to have been upheld and new services are being developed. Through your the pandemic those patients who needed face to face appointments were able to access them. On the occasions that I have needed to see a doctor it has been the same day and fast track referrals have been made for me. Telephone triage calls have also been offered when needed. I have felt valued and listened to in deciding what treatment if any I have needed. I can’t praise this surgery enough. I have been a patient her for almost 40 years. Most recently I have been referred for a fast tract gynaecology appointment
"Easy to contact, fast results."
The telephone system works. This is the first surgery I’ve experienced where I’ve spoken to a doctor on the phone and visited when needed. Quick referrals and the doctors here are patient and knowledgable.
"Issues rtelated to repeat prescription"
Until last Autumn it was excellent. Since then there have been issues re repeat prescription. The GP retired and it has been taken over by a new GP who obviously is trying to familiarise himself and put his own mark/style on the practice. I only found out by accident about the change it has not been communicated to patients. And I am nominally the chair of the practice PPG.
"Appointment availability is good Kingsbury road surgery"
Have been with this surgery for 25 plus years. Appointment availability is good.
"Helpful friendly receptionists"
They have looked after me and my family for the last 30 years. Helpful friendly receptionists. Caring doctors and nurses
"Has normally been excellent"
Has normally been excellent. The GP retired in October and the practice has been taken over by another Dr. Difficult to judge how effective he is given lockdown. However, as chair of the PPG I was dismayed to find this out by accident and patients have still not been officially informed. There have been issues over repeat prescriptions

"Excellent Patient Centred Practice"
I have been a patient at this practice for many years. Always treated with courtesy and respect. Triage available with Dr when phoning in so urgency of treatment is established an appointment made usually the same day or day after. Practice nurse is knowledgeable and works with you to find the right solution e.g managing asthma. Healthcare assistant is very good. I find that the Doctors listen to you and treat you as the expert and discuss the treatment options with you. An excellent learning environment for GP training.
