"Don't take my sister seriously"
My sister has PCOS. They don't take her headaches seriously and she is there three times a month and nothing ever changes.
My sister has PCOS. They don't take her headaches seriously and she is there three times a month and nothing ever changes.
Been here a few times and seen a few different doctors, who have all been really good.
My last appointment was an NHS health check. I go it because I called my GP about a diabetes check. It was only a couple of days wait which was fine by me. On the day I waited for 20 minutes and my blood pressure was high. My follow up is 4 weeks after and the nurses is the same person I saw last time.
They're alright but sometimes if you phone them up you have to have a telephone call. You're lucky to have a face to face appointment. Now they want you to go online and I can't use it. When I see a GP I don't feel rushed and they help.
I joined them a year ago and the staff are friendly and helpful. I can get appointments easily.
They're alright. The best thing is, when you need an appointment, they're available and they have them on days to suit you. I don't feel like I have to plan when I'm ill or be ill.
Good as long as you call first thing in the morning. They give you an appointment the same day. The doctors are good and I feel listened to.
The GP is okay and the appointments system works well. It's a helpful and accessible service.
It is frustrating as they don't have any appointments. You try to call them and you wait 10 minutes. If you get an appointment you speak to a GP. Last week I was told to go to 111 or the pharmacy as they couldn't help me with my issue.
It's very good. To see a doctor and get an appointment is very difficult however.
A good surgery. They made a quick referral for hospital treatment. It can be a challenge to get an appointment which is frustrating. Everything seems to have changed since the covid pandemic and has made access harder.
I can get an appointment quite easily but I have to see a different doctor all of the time there is no continuity of care.
Mom was referred on from dermatology at Good Hope. There was a little wait but nothing to be concerned about. She was kept well informed about what was happening anyway.
They are good. I don't think a lot of people see the doctors face to face without a telephone conversation first. They are okay if you don't mind ringing 23 times before you get through. I don't expect to get straight through first time and they are very good.
GP is very poor and staff and management are very poor. Getting an appointment with a GP took a week. Really unsatisfied. I am rating them very poor.
I am a very happy and satisfied patient. GP is great.
The receptionist are front line, you can't get past them, can't see the GP. 93 calls I made and they said they had all gone. I was told to phone back at midday, and when I did they had all gone. There's a poster inside the surgery that says to prebook appointments and when I tried to, they said I couldn't. The receptionists are very abrupt and unpleasant, to be approached in that manner - it's not good. The receptionists are not nice. The doctor told me to make a follow up appointment wen I saw them and the receptionist wouldn't make it for me.
Difficult to get appointments. I phone early in the morning each day. Long at times, it's about 45 minutes. I make sure of this to ensure I can get appointments.
Difficult to get through to, I can sometimes get appointments, but not always. If it takes a long time, there's no appointments available.
Usually really good. They have a patient experience group. We have had an experience where my husband has COPD, he was having problems with his breathing and was struggling. I rang up the surgery and the receptionist said they wouldn't see him face to face but would speak with him over the phone. The doctor eventually rang us up and said he would have sent to him to hospital had he known how severe his symptoms were. The receptionists are not correctly relaying the information to the doctors, there needs to be more training for them on how to navigate people to the right service. It's scary that she made the wrong decision, they need to be on the ball. But they are usually very good.
Can't get an appointment, takes a while on the phone. Keep trying at 8am, loads of people in front of you, then you try again at 12pm, you get right down to number 1 and they cut you off.
My last consult was over the telephone. I can call the surgery for an appointment and they're very good. The phone can ring for a while before they answer but they're good.
Not long been. They said everything was okay. Tend to book when I need to and they give me an appointment within a week or so.
Not great, I can’t get an appointment with them and they take a tenacious amount of time to answer the phone. I give up most of days because what’s the point in hanging on for there to be no appointment.
Haven’t got the need to go. Referral to memory clinic, they have send a letter to say appointment is in progress. Didn’t take a long time to get appointment this time.
I can’t understand it but before covid waiting rooms were heaving then you go now and wonder why I am waiting so long because room is empty. How can a doctor assess you over the phone. Feel like you self-assess a lot.
They’re okay, they’re alright. At the moment you have to call up to make an appointment, there’s five people in the queue then you get through and sometimes they have appointments and sometimes they don’t. Sometimes I can speak to them face-to-face or on the phone.
Time consuming, phone call after phone call. Ring out 8am don’t get through.
Could book appointments in advance. Could get prescriptions easily and they helped with my mental health.
Never get an appointment. Nearly 3 years on from covid and its still telephone appointment. Have to tell the receptionist the issue and then tell the doctor and they decide whether to see you in person. Had to beg to get my C section scar looked at. Offered my post-partum check up over the phone when I'd had a C section. Its not on. Can't be done, I need to be seen.
They're fine, I'm not able to get appointments easily and when I do, they offer telephone appointments only.
Very good and helpful. The staff is always happy to help.
Very good doctors and reception staff.
The last 3 years at this surgery the service has gone completely down hill. I am unable to get an appointment at a specific time and usually only telephone appointments are available which is no good when your at work and can't always answer your phone. Also I don't see why you should tell the receptionist what is wrong with you it should be private between you and the doctors (the doctors always ask why your ringing so the information obviously hasn't been passed on).The practice also doesn't like to refer you to a relevant specialist they just prescribe the cheapest meds they can and quite often the wrong meds .I could go on.
Used to be a good surgery. Can understand changing practices due to covid but they show no sign of returning to online bookings even for a phone call. We have logged over 150 attempts most times when calling the surgery to book an appointment only to be told to try the next day. When you have a telephone appointment they can’t give an approximate time for the call. This makes it impossible for people who have continued to work during the pandemic to access their services. They seem to assume patients are at home all day and it is unfair on those who have to work. They should review this and at least offer a rough idea for the call, surely they can schedule them if they have reduced face to face appointments? A return to online booking for telephone appointments would we welcomed too.
The service is good and the practice offers a range of services for their patients. It's very difficult though to get through on the day to book an appointment and the surgery doesn't offer any advance bookings.
Excellent service. I rang & was offered a telephone callback which I received in 1 hour. GP was very efficient & after consultation asked me to go into the surgery. This was organised within 30 minutes. Surgery took my temperature & offered hand sanitizer. Myself & GP wore masks. A good experience.
Very friendly and extremely helpful I cannot fault any of the staff.
I went to the surgery for my Covid vaccine and must say it was extremely well set up. I felt very safe, was welcomed into the surgery, hand sanitiser was available on entrance and I was only there a matter of minutes. My only concern is that on the Doctors online system that patients access is showing that I didn't attend the appointment, I phoned the surgery to query this and they have assured me I am showing on there records that I have been vaccinated!
Phone call appointments are very difficult to book as its all via the phone. The appointments, themselves, are very good.
College road surgery have been fantastic at looking after my family and myself
Hard to get an appointment
I feel that sometimes the doctors rush when having a consultation and I often come out thinking I've forgotten to discuss things because of feeling under pressure in the room.
Great experience talking to my GP via telephone link. Really simple process after he sent me the link via text. He was able to see my issue and prescribe medication accordingly with the prescription being sent directly to the pharmacist for me to collect with half hour. Great service.
Called for an appointment with a doctor and although had to wait to speak with someone on reception was greeted by very friendly staff who took my details to arrange for a doctor to call me back.
Really good service. Always receive good care. Only concern would be trying to get an on the day appointment, this can prove difficult at times. Online booking system could be better by making more appointments available.
No issues with surgery - been under them for years - Sometimes difficult to get an appointment but that's expected.
I booked an appointment on the morning to see a doctor. I got an appointment the same morning and was actually seen before my appointment time. After seeing the doctor he said I was due my Flu and Pneumonia injections and rather than go away and come back he emailed the nurse downstairs and I was seen by her within 10 minutes of leaving the doctors room - I left feeling much happier knowing I'd seen a doctor and had my yearly immunisations. My only concern is getting through in the morning to get an appointment, I literally have to constantly press redial until I get through and then have to hope there are some appointments left which isn't always the case. I am also registered online with the surgery which is fantastic for ordering repeat prescriptions but not so good for booking appointments as there are only a few made available, probably due to most people still phoning and not using the online system, so understandable really. Overall a good practice at which I'm always treated with respect and dignity.
The service is really very fast & good
Excellent - very kind
