"Shouldn't be so difficult to get appointments"
They are okay but there can be long waits on the phone. You usually do get an appointment though. It shouldn't be so difficult when you feel ill though.

I can get appointments easily and they take their time and ask questions. The staff are very good.
Went in and they sent me for an x-ray at Heartlands. If I call them, I get appointments the same day so that's good. The doctor listens well too.
I go to the surgery in person to make an appointment because they don't answer the phones. When I turn up they just give me an appointment there and then, but it's not easy to get to the physical place. They say they will call you back when you ring but they don't.
Very easy to get an appointment. You can even get one on a Saturday. They're an excellent and accessible service.
It went okay but they could look into an issue better instead of giving the same answer for every issue.
Eventually if I'm in the queue I will get through. Access is a problem. I downloaded the app to book appointments and you can't, which was the only reason for downloading it. The staff are making excuses not to make it available that way. I often get appointments with paramedics and not a GP. I'm not given a choice. You often get sent to the wrong location too. The good things is we have access to it 5 to 6 days a week. You can get same day appointments and blood tests there too.
Good as I can get appointments. I haven't used the online system as its too hard for me as it's all in English and I know little English.
It's hard to get an appointment and to get through on the phones. The GPs are really good and friendly.
Lots of good and helpful doctors that are always ready to help.
Not good with giving appointments and they're really rude and unprofessional with their work. Lots of people used to complain about the receptionist.
They're good. You can get appointments, same day ones and they can be over the phone or face to face. They will see you face to face if you really need to or if it's for the kids.
They always make me wait even when I am very sick. I don't like their behaviour either.
Very impressed with the high level service delivery. An excellent surgery.
Whenever I ring them I can get appointments. When I need a prescription they ring back the same day. Overall, the GP is good. I am happy with them.
Very challenging to get an appointment, The GP gives you 10 minutes to explain symptoms it's always difficult to explain and have limited time.
1. Appointment Booking Process: Appointment lines open at 8am with bookings allegedly done in order for the first half of the day. Afternoon appointments require a call at 12pm, but these slots are often already booked by then, indicating they were likely booked in the morning.
2. Hold Times: Calling after 11am typically results in being placed first in line but still waiting on hold for over 10 minutes.
3. Wait Times and DNA Policy: Wait times to see a GP can exceed an hour despite having a scheduled appointment. Patients arriving over 5 minutes late are marked as "Did Not Attend" (DNA) and asked to reschedule.
4. Response to Frustration: Expressing mild frustration with the service may lead to a note in the medical record indicating the patient was abusive, a situation experienced personally and by others.
5. **Miscommunication Between Practices**: Amaanah Medical Practice books appointments for Oakleaf Medical Practice without notifying patients of the difference. This has led to patients being marked as DNA because the practices are 25 minutes apart by walking.
Improvements have been made with self check-in and offered services, but there is still room for further enhancement.
Previously I left feedback about difficulty trying to get an appointment and never getting through telephone service. Much better now, can speak to someone and get appointment at Oakleaf or partner surgeries if urgent. I’ve gotten an appointment for children when I really would have preferred telephone consultation but better to be safe and seen than regret it later.
They listen to you and try to solve your issues. Excellent support and help provided.
The system of getting an appointment is very complicated. They don't see you on time.
Long waits all of the time on the phone. Last time I waited for more than 60 minutes before I got connected to the receptionist.
I call back anytime of the day and they will let the phone ring once and then hang up just to say they called you.
Quite quick. It's part of Heartlands trust so you see midwives from there, they have all been really lovely. They are good at giving general appointments too. Really good.
They are very good at getting the same day appointments.
The GP's are quite different. I haven't seen my community midwife at the practice yet. They called me to say that I had missed an appointment when I wasn't made aware that they had changed the date. It's hard to change things last minute with work. The appointments with the GP has got better. It's mostly phone appointments but they will see you face to face if it's urgent.
Three years I have been going back with the same symptoms. I was told I was too young for there to be anything wrong. I was eventually referred. The doctor was good in explaining there would be a long wait due to the demand at the hospital.
Quite good as I see the same GP most of the time. I've always been with them and wouldn't change. It can take a while to get through but that's like most places isn't it.
They say it's fully booked, no appointments and that I have to call back tomorrow morning. Then I call the next day, nothing. They're rubbish.
Rubbish. No self service check in. You wait in a queue. I can't get the doctor I want. If you want a female doctor you have to wait ages. You can't see who you want so it's not fair. No electronic sign in so you wait ages in the queue to be checked in and can end up being late for your appointments because of this. when I can't get an appointment I end up going to the walk in clinic.
They're not very good. Really struggle with them. Can't get appointments. Can't see the GP. No one answers so I call every day until I get an appointment.
Much better, has pharmacy right downstairs, easier to pick up prescription and can get through on phones for appointment.
They're quite good in comparison to other practices, but I don't regularly have to go. See the midwife there and the appointments are quite regular and it's the same midwife every time I go.
Never had any problems or issues with them. Can get appointments fairly easily. They are good.
Takes ages to get through then there's no appointments. I have to physically go up to the surgery at 8:30am to be able to get an appointment and there is always a queue. If you are at the back of the queue you won't get an appointment. They don't prebook appointments and some GP's will only do over the phone appointments.
Really good, never had any issue. I actually know the doctor there it is a good service.
The experiences I have had with the Medical Centre are quite positive and they have always advised me well of what to do when I need help. I called up at 8AM and I will get an appointment for that day. If not, I go to the Medical Centre myself, and seek advice.
The receptionist are very unhelpful and show a lot of attitude and rudeness. The doctors in the surgery are very unhelpful and do not fully explain or listen to patients views or concerns. They make the assumption patients are making up their symptoms are generally show a lack of compassion and care.
I took my niece to the walk in clinic on Wednesdays for children as my sister was too ill to take her. When I took her they said they were fully booked and that I needed to ring to get an appointment. When I did call they said there were no appointments available and I asked to speak to the practice manager to make a complaint and said they needed to see her as I could not get an appointment for her and that's what the clinic was for on that day.
Terrible, can't get through. Hard to get appointments, when I do they cancel them and say the person who is meant to be seeing me has not turned up.
The waiting time to get through to speak to someone on the phone is long, but when you do get through, they often give you a call back appointment on the same day.
Getting an appointment is next to impossible and they don’t share test results and you have to chase it up yourself.
Difficult to get an appointment. Not very good.
Bad mannered receptionists, doctors are all very lazy, don't bother with telephone triages or allowing people with conditions that need to be seen in person, quick and short triage always misdiagnosis - makes you have to come back again and again - i have bad mobile reception so have to call again it's not fair
Friendly staff ,
Services is really good and doctors are fab doing a great job .
Call in for appointment no answer was number 5 for 1 hour 10 mins so i went to the surgery very frustrated to find all the girls at the fromt were on their mobiles giggling ignoring the phone! i lost my temper and told them how disgusting this behaviour was to which the slim girl with attitude problem turned around and told me it was none of my business what they do,, i told them it is when im making an appointment for my childs mental health!!!! what was really bad i was told they were no appointments and il hav to call back tomorrow!!!
Good surgery with friendly staff.
just now
I don't know what else to do, when people in positions of power mess up, and receptionists who work for this surgery are unprofessional to a patient's urgent needs, I'm glad I have reported this surgery to the CQC and NHS England, hopefully a better service will be running, because thanks to their incompetence, I'll be spending today in pain and tomorrow because of their negligence and not giving a monkeys about my physical health.
Don't you dare even think of calling me, to try and make amends, it's too late, your service brought this on themselves, now you will be held accountable.
The doctors are very attentive, but waiting times can be long; 30 minutes to an hour. (An hour in rare cases)
The new my GP app is good for booking appointments, but there aren’t always a lot of appointment slots shown on the app.
Okay
Getting appointment is easy but waiting time to be seen is always too long. No support and help provided to patients with young children.
Good experience & can recommend to family & friends.
Rude and unhelpful staff at all levels.
