"Happy with the care"

We are happy with NDH care. My father normally tells them what is to be done. Only problem is when they are running late sometimes, we are not informed. I have to call and ask. Overall they are good.

"This care company is a load of rubbish"

They never listen to their clients, their needs, wishes and care about their routine. Once they get you settled and used to a carer they take them away and put on new, young and inexperienced carers. They don't care how it affects the user as long as they getting paid. Don't get me wrong some of the established carers are brilliant and are used by the company as a front to settle and establish clients but again removed once they got you. We've had numerous ongoing issues with them from the beginning which has been over a year and a half now and I can honestly say things have never got better only worse. When you really need them to pull through they still mess everything up even with verbal and written instruction all over the house. Even social services have intervened and had firm words about their unacceptable behaviour but the company is not bothered and is continuing their disgusting usual habits.
Every aspect of this company is poor and I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone with vulnerable family members.
I feel sorry for those vulnerable people who are with this company and have no one to voice their concerns for them as goodness only knows how they are treated. We are with our family member and are dealing with so much rubbish from this company.

"Happy with the service"

Were happy with the service during 2024. We are very satisfied with the carers we have. They are supportive and have often been more than generous during difficult phases and times of crisis. Whenever I have to contact the office (including out of hours) I have always received prompt attention or if necessary had a representative call me back in due course.

"Prefer the same carers"

Most of the time it's the same carers at lunch and evening. They are helpful and caring. The last two weeks however I have had new carers each time and that does not help as I have to explain everything so I would prefer the same carers except in emergencies to make it more conducive to my care.

"They looked after my Dad so well."

Carers from NDH looked after my dad for a number of years until his death in October last year. He developed a lovely bond with his carers. My dad wasn't the easiest of the fold, but they brought out the best in him and took their role of advocating for him seriously. As a family, we are deeply grateful for the kind and compassionate care he received.

This company provides a care package for my mom who is immobile and has dementia. The service is excellent. The carers are usually very punctual, are always pleasant and are keen to assist in anyway possible.

"NDH care is good"

"NDH carers are fantastic and friendly."

NDH carers are really great and friendly. Because of them, my father feels less stressed. They've been very supportive and some of them are like family to my dad. Thanks to these carers, my dad is improving, and now he can take care of himself in various ways. I'm very grateful to them.

"Always different Carers"

We receive different carers weekly, so we can't get used to them. On a Sunday we always need to chase the night carers as they don't turn up blaming it on scheduling. Also carers turn up and say what do I do? I'm having to teach the carers how to do their job, which should be a given.

The care my mom is receiving from the carer is very good. They talk to her and tell her what's happening. they are kind and caring to her which is what we want. She can be a little difficult at times due to pain but they are patient with her and work through it.

"Regular carers allow mom to be comfortable"

NDH care has a challenging task dealing and caring for my mother who has dementia. Her moods fluctuate on a regular basis so the carers have to be mindful of this and adapt their approach to mom's care needs regularly. The carers who visit her more regularly apply this better than the ones who don't. Therefore sending the same carers is one area to look at. All of the carers are polite and friendly and show mom a healthy level of respect. Some are more attuned and so that make her feel comfortable which is key to dealing with mom. In summary regular and consistent carers will allow mom to become familiar with that person and allow them to do their jobs more easily.

the problem is HR are not verifying that their staff does not have the skills required to care for an older adult. when you get in touch with them they say sorry and they continue with their behaviour repeating that my father showers two days a week and only when I am present do I ask them to please shower or shave him in another way they do not do it They are also very unpunctual

"Absolutely awful, no respect at all"

Mum having carers 4 times a day. Am carers we’re very polite. However clearly inadequate training. We stopped all pm calls, as standard of care was that poor. Examples not listing to mum begging to come off the commode, until I stepped in. Not cleaning or putting cream where needed, wearing the same gloves they had just done personal care with, to prepare drinks and offer food. Clearly no trained in infection control. I came down to mum on one occasion, hearing her say “ this is very embarrassing and undignified “ Mum had her bottom half clothing completely removed. For a toileting call. A supervisor had come unannounced and let herself in to do a spot check. To then say “ I called there was no answer” had no intentions of prior arranging. To then say mum needs 2 carers. When OT had agreed only one carer. Supervisor was rude and argumentative. They do not listen to any concerns you have, they argue instead. Hence to say we immediately finished them. I have huge concerns about elderly clients, who have no family. Worst agency I have come across!!

The carer was reminded of my mums name. They then tried to roll my mum while she was in an upright position until we had to stop them to tell them that she needed to be laying flat for this. Continued to roll my mum around the bed like a piece of meat without even telling her first what they were about to do. They didn't understand when we told them that the night bag needed to come off the catheter, just leaving the day bag on. After finally getting them to understand watched them take over 5 minutes to do this 30 second job. Finished the rest of their care very poorly. Then scanned out and got their coats on and opened the front door. At which point we stopped them to ask why they had left my mums bed in the highest position. When every half decent carer knows that it should always be put into the lowest position possible in case the patient falls out. One of them then had the audacity to argue that she was just going to do it. Even though she had opened the front door. We made some phone calls and told the powers that be that we didn't want them near our mum ever again.

"Excellent Carers and management."

I am very happy with all the carers and the company; they are good listeners. Carers always respect my wishes by listening to them and makes me comfortable. I really those carers who caring me in covid 19n period. Special thanks to the carers who also helps me with my shaving and making me feel fresh, they always talk to me nicely and spend time with me talking and making me laugh. All NDH Care staffs are very professional and polite. Also, Management staff are so polite and untestable. "Overall the work of the careers is good"

Never engage with my nan, she is bed bond, they often leave her with a tray on the bed which makes it hard for her to use the commode.

"Massively incompetent, complete lack of care."

This company are the very reason why there needs to be an overhaul of the care system and the companies in the industry. My dad has been a user of this company for over 6 months and they are useless. Most recently he woke up feeling unwell, this was bought to the attention of the worker, who did nothing to help him, once they had left an ambulance was called and he was taken to hospital. where he was diagnosed with a chest infection. The workers are clearly poorly trained and the company are not fit to be in the business they are in.
The Care Quality Commission inspected this company in July 2021 and their report states that the company 'Requires Improvement", which is an understatement... I wouldn't trust this company to look after a stray dog, let alone an elderley person.

"Staff are abusive"

Staff were observed aggressively and illegally handling service users. Illegal moving and handling techniques were used such as the drag lift, which can result in serious injury, which is the reason for this being illegal. Also staff have low levels of communication skills in English, which contributes to the lack of conversation with service users and also takes away their rights. Service users are not spoken to during personal care and conversation is little to none. There is no care being provided for these individuals, purely just abuse. Also staff have poor and inadequate time keeping skills, often showing up to service users homes too late and not providing them with the amount of time they are scheduled to receive so they can receive the proper care in which they are paying for.

I have my dad and the carer are visiting to me dad. All carer are good and very polite. They are giving the personal care very properly and taking care of my father very carefully. Well trained carer are coming. All carer are taking care of the privacy and dignity of my father. Good carer and good company.

"Very Good Care Staff is attending"

The carer is coming to see my husband and all carer are good. Before entering the house, all are wearing the proper PPE and sanitise their hands. Carer is taking precautions for infection prevention as well. All carer are attending on time.

"Worryingly poor."

We had an agreement for the care company to attend for 30 minutes a day, Monday - Friday at lunch to make and feed my mother who has dementia. During the time thay cared for her they faied to stop for 30 minutes 50% of the time, almost fed her a warmed up pork pie, left the key safe open after a visit and referred to my Mother as Darling instead of by her first name. 3 complaints raised by me to to NDH and I am still waiting for a response.

"Generally pleasant staff."

If we have had a problem, NDH have always responded to our concerns.
Carers always wear uniforms which is reassuring the patient.
Sometimes when a new Carer has been allocated, there has not been an integration and hand over process. For instance a new Carer would ask the patient for information about where to find medication or food but because of Alzhimers the patient did not understand how to respond.

"NDH care provided great service"

So far NDH care provided great service. Occasionally had to call office and they are helpful in resolving any issues. I would like to keep my regular carers as my condition is very complicated and it’s good to have someone who knows how to react as they have been told. I am struggling to explain to all new carers all about it. So please let them be trained by someone who knows me.

My father receiving care from NDH CARE from last couple of months, carer remembers everything my father talk about. carers treats my father with respect (he has dementia). carer always checks father wearing his falling alarm, carer keep and eye on my father health and always report me if any concern.

"Carers not helpful"

High fluctuation of carers, all good ones ran away. Carers never on time and in a hurry. Carers not helpful (won’t make scrambled egg or heat sausages). Carers are mostly young girls not appropriate to handle some chores. Carers are not polite and their English is not good as well.

"No star the service is very poor."

Dad was not look after properly. He was left to sit all day in wet cloths. Carers haven’t got any care qualifications or training in food hygiene, manual handling or giving of medication.

"Thank you very much to look after my mom."

Ndh care staff who provide excellent care of my 85-year-old mother who has diabetes and congestive heart failure. In a very short time, carer has proven to be a precious asset in our lives. She has a level of experience and understanding that is important at this stage of my mom’s life. She also is a great communicator and is in touch daily with me through texts and calls. She sends me pictures of the excellent food she prepares for Mom and helps her with walking with zimmer frame.
