Been there for 3 years. 24 hours system. A carer sleeps in. sometimes alright, not always. Sometimes they don’t tell me what’s happening with my carer but that depends which person. There are 6 people who give me care. Some are better at explaining the care than others.
My daughter has just escaped from Crowne Care.
She lived there for 7 years.
During lockdown her carer abused her, she was showing signs of mental distress but managers blamed lockdown and even family,yet it was one of their carers under their watch. There was no proper care plan, She was hoisted in the nude. Carers were not giving her food choices or fresh food, They had a big file about my daughters behaviour, but they were not communicating with her at all.
Lots of safeguarding gone in to Social services and CQC, but people are still going to live there.
