It's a lovely place, they treated my mom like a queen. They were superb. Even though she was only there for a few weeks they looked after her very well.
My Mother has been admitted to the kenrick centre and I called to ask for an update on her being there, her health and well being and to ask what is the plan for her care, I am her carer and neither me or any of our family been included in any of this information inc my Mother, the receptionist told me we would know more next weds 8 days away when mom is allocated a social worker, I said I needed to know sooner and was not satisfied, I was then put on to Marcia a manager, she was very rude and continued to interrupt me when asking her what is the plan of action for mom, with her getting louder and interrupting continuously we ended up in a slanging match and I am now still non the wiser of my moms plan or health, I have no faith in her looking after my mother after this and would like her to be moved, I will not take her out myself as she will end up with no care plan, the first day she was in I called and was given the wrong information by the receptionist which led to me not visiting, I received a call on the 1st evening from a nurse with my mom’s phone as someone had taken it, mom has numerous ailments including dementia and she is upset to be there it is important for us to be there for her, while these incidents did not bother me at first having tried to speak to the centre for an update on mom and ended up in this situation I have lost faith and trust
