"Can get appoinjtments"
I see any doctor and I call to make appointments. I can usually make one too.
I see any doctor and I call to make appointments. I can usually make one too.
Poor access. I can never get an appointment. I can't book in advance. You wait in the queue and can't get one. Can't get face to face appointments and the reception staff are horrible.
They keep sending me here. They're brilliant, I have been here about four times now.
Sometimes get sent here as they're part of the same GP. They're great once you get an appointment. It's just the waiting. Since covid it's not got back to normal. There isn't anyone in the waiting rooms and it makes me wonder.
I rang surgery on Friday 12th September and explained to receptionist that the app wasn't letting me repeat my prescription.
I went to chemist week before to collect and was told my order was from August last time.
I've been at work all week on nights so had no opportunity to get to surgery as I don't work and sleep during daytime. When I explained to receptionist she was very rude and no help whatsoever never even my name to look up the medication.
She just abruptly said if I can't get to surgery then there's nothing they can do.
I'm now a week without my antidepressants which I've only been on 2 months and I'll have to wait until at least Monday before I can get to the surgery.
They're okay. It can be a pain to get an appointment. They have seen us when we have absolutely needed to be seen. I can't fault the doctors.
They've been alright and done really well with everything we wanted.
It's good. I don't have to wait as they give same day appointments.
They understand me.
The first time we went for this problem we made an appointment for the same day and arranged bloods. All has been great.
GP was very thorough and understanding.
Actioned tests to be carried out.
Getting to see a GP was difficult. The doctors were lovely but it took me two weeks to get through to them at one point just to be told there weren't any appointments which is rubbish when you have ongoing health issues.
Appointments are awful but that's like everywhere else.
I was suffering with breathlessness. I went to see a GP at Hollymoor Medical Centre, she examined me thoroughly and seemed very concerned , saying that there was something wrong with my heart. She said I needed an emergency appointment, we left the surgery within an hour the Doctor rang me up and said an appointment has been to come back to the surgery and have my bloods taken and an ECG the same day. She also stated many times to call an ambulance if my situation worsens. The following week I received an appointment at the QE. Had a heart scan, the doctor there informed me that I would not be going back home, I was told the main valve in my heart was sticking and if I didn't have the operation I would have 2 months at the most to live, I had a Tavi Valve fitted. I am now very fit and grateful.
In the past I had thyroid cancer, I went to a GP at Hollymoor surgery, through her being so thorough , I went to different clinics to see other specialists in other fields, in a matter of time my problem was sorted, I was found not to have the cancer back, so thank you very much.
If you can even get an appointment they are never helpful and always brush you off either that or expect you to self diagnose and give you silly advice like just take an aspirin and walk it off exercise will fix it. It is now probably one of the worst surgeries in the area hence why they are trying to change their name etc my advice is find another surgery
Access to appointments have gotten better. I can make one over the phone. I get through straight away and was given an appointment for within the hour. Appointments are excellent. They sent me for tests and they did bloods within the week.
I have only been there once, it was easy to get an appointment. Got one for the next day, really good.
Since Covid, some of the Doctors at my old Doctors forgot they had a Surgery.
I went there with a rash on my leg and he said he had seen it on others and he gave me some cream for it.
I had a mole that looked cancerous and I got referred the same day. I was referred really quickly and treated. An excellent service.
They're okay as far as they go. I try not to go to them that often but they do give you an appointment or answer questions over the phone or over the internet if it's not too urgent. It works for me.
Wife had to have operation wound dressed and repacked. One of the nurses attended to it. She is a very experienced nurse, very knowledgeable about medical matters. Moreover, a very kind, warm, caring lady. A pleasure to make her acquaintance. Excellent.
Request a letter to send to Jury service for a postponement due to my medical condition at present - I was told on the phone to write a letter and drop it to the surgery and I shall get one in 7 days time - I did so and when I went to the surgery, they told me that the practice manager has to triage it and it will take about 6 weeks. I explained to them that I am due to start Jury Service next week and urge them to help me. I just receive a plain, " It will take 6 weeks" Ridiculous service - Receptionist need to be trained and and some compassion how to talk to people!!!
I had to wait for 15 minutes in the line to get through and they managed to get me a same day appointment. They don't update you with results and you have to chase them.
It is quite quick to get appointments. The doctors are nice and attentive. All complaints get attended to.
Very good and very nice. I can get appointments too. They are very helpful and I am grateful for the service.
I don't need an appointment very often so it is okay for me. I call early in the morning and can usually get an appointment with them.
The staff are rude, abrasive and bristle with indignation when faced with polite enquiries. No people skills. No interpersonal skills.
It's a brilliant surgery. They have been brilliant, can't fault them. The staff are polite and respectful.
I will give them 1 star. A poor service delivery. They never have any appointments.
I have been with them for years. I find them very good.
They're fine. I have no problems at all. I can get appointments. I should have a set doctor but not anymore. The doctor I saw recently was lovely and they knew exactly what to do.
Can never get an appointment. Then when a miracle happens and you are granted a phone call appointment the doctor doesn’t phone you. The receptionist are the rudest I have ever encountered and definitely need training on how to interact with people
My parents are not happy with the care because they cannot get an appointment at all.
I left them because it's impossible to get an appointment there.
Takes 40 minutes to get through that’s if your not cut off and have to dial again. Once through to reception majority of the time no appointments left. To be seen for a lump it’s took three days before I could be seen and that was having to travel to a surgery via taxi which cost me £9 each way. I was then referred on the 2 week urgent route to the women’s hospital. Issue at this surgery was it was dark outside and the consultation room blind at the window would not close properly. For a vaginal examination especially this was unacceptable. I was told it was unlikely anybody would be outside. I was not happy. I complained and ended up with a receptionist holding paper over the gaps in the blind. As somebody with complex PTSD I wasn’t happy. This was at college green medical centre.
Since my GP at Hollymoor medical centre retired whom I saw regularly when needed I have not seen the same doctor continuously. This makes it difficult for me as suffer with my mental health. Having to see doctors who do not know me and I do not know them. Not good experiences at all.
I used to see a GP regularly but they retired. You never see the same GP. It is all done over the phone. I feel like they rush to get you finished. It took me the whole week to get through to them. I was on reduced medication for 3 weeks because they didn't have them at the GP pharmacist. They prescribed me something different which they could have done in the first place.
Good GP. The reception team can be rude and ask too many questions.
Always good. Always got good availability of appointments too.
Receptionists are gatekeepers. They don't pass on information. They don't give out appointments and that's just a telephone appointments. Part of the partnership with other GP's and they won't refer me to another GP to get an appointment. It doesn't matter that you have a job, they just don't care.
Long waiting time to book appointment
Difficult to see GP ON DAY REQUIRED
Impossible to get appointments, get trash on phone. I tried to register on their online appointment system and it said the DOB was incorrect, so I haven’t been able to use the service.
They're ok but can't get an appointment when you need one. Call at 8 am, all the lines are busy and you can't get through, then when you do there's no appointments and you have to go to walk in. If you don't call at 8 am - 8.30 am, you won't get one. They ask with the children if it's an emergency and the doctor will call but if not they do not prioritise children.
Can get appointments for the kids, over the phone to start with and if they do want to see them they ask me to go in. Harder to get appointment for myself. No appointments.
The doctors have no control in the surgery. Reception staff run and decide who will get appointment and how complex is the medical issue. It’s a joke.
They are fantastic, I can always get appointment & support.
GP is very good & helpful.
They need a fire lighting under them, they're not doing face to face appointments only on the telephone which is stupid.
I hate that they diagnose without seeing you. Father in law had medical problems, they gave him antibiotics without seeing him to treat his cellulitis in his leg. Kept ringing because he was breathless, said the antibiotics will clear it up. 2 days later he was dead.
Extremely difficult to get an appointment on the day. Waiting 40-50 minutes to get through. Notes not added to my record and often missed important info from other services for my GP. Had a call last month after dropping in a urine sample and told to come to see the nurse urgently. Got a lift from where I was to the medical centre. Receptionist sent me away. I told her I'd been called by the nurse, she insisted I was 11 minutes late. I again expressed it was urgent. Was denied access and the receptionist told me the nurse said I was too late. I left and went back to church. Had a call from the receptionist saying I needed to come back urgently. Went back and saw the nurse. Nurse said receptionist had not told her I was there earlier, she just passed a note saying rebook. I was ill.
They're a pain. Have to phone and can't get appointments. Kid's won't get seen, they won't see you unless you tell them its an emergency, can't book appointments in advance. Have to ring at 8am but can take up to an hour for them to answer the phone.
My wife as for the last three weeks trying to contact surgery, the phone system cuts you off, the staff are rude and of no help when the once she did get through a number of weeks ago, she needs a hospital referral from the surgery
Dear Patient,
We are sorry to hear that you have experienced some issues with the practice and are very disappointed to hear your review.
We always take complaints very seriously and try to address them in a timely manner.
Unfortunately we do not have any information so we cannot look in to this.
If you would like to get in touch with us then we can discuss matters further.
Please ask to speak to a member of our Management Team.
Kind Regards,
Dr Lawrence & Partners
No appointment at all and staff is very rude & unhelpful.
Dear Patient,
We are sorry to hear that you feel this way about our staff.
We are all working under enormous pressure at the moment and it is disappointing to read or hear poor reviews as we do not think this reflects how hard working and dedicated our staff are.
The Management Team at Hollymoor would be more than happy to speak to you regarding any issues you may have so please get in touch if you would like to discuss matters.
Kind Regards,
Dr Lawrence & Partners
Is it ever at all possible to get an appointment without calling the number 87 times to be put on hold being told you are now caller number 17 and eventually when you get through of course they have no appointments left however if it is a medical emergency please hang off and and dial 999 alternatively if you know you're going to be ill in 3-weeks time we will give you an appointment.
Dear Patient,
We are sorry to hear that you have experienced difficulties with getting an appointment. Demand for appointments at the moment is far greater than the capacity that we have. Our team of highly trained staff will always try to help when you call the surgery and will signpost you to the most appropriate service if a GP appointment is deemed not necessary.
Our phone lines are extremely busy at 08.00 hours every morning and we are doing are very best to manage these calls. All emergencies are dealt with the same day and patients are triaged accordingly. If your problem is non urgent then we always do our best to offer an alternative appointment at our hub practice. Appointments are available at evenings and weekends. We also encourage patients to register for online access as this gives helpful information and will enable you to use certain online services.
A member of our Management team would be more than happy to speak to you if you would like to discuss any matters.
We hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
Dr Lawrence & Partners
Very helpful and supportive
I am happy with the service provided.
Difficult to book an appointment, otherwise good staff.
Very helpful and supportive.
Some of the receptionists are lovely and happy to help, whilst some others are very abrupt. I get that they have to ask what the reason for calling is so they can prioritise but you're trying to phone at 8am when triage begins, lines are busy for upto 15-20 minutes and when you get through they have no appointments left and try to fob you off the phone quickly. The doctors and nurses are fantastic, that's why they are receiving a higher score than I'd like to give.
Almost impossible to contact by phone
Nobody has been seen by a doctor at the practice for over a year because of Covid-19. Yet the hospital A&E departments HAD to open!! I went to have my first jab at West Heath Medical Centre and guess who gave it? My G.P!!
Had an abscess on a tooth during the pandemic. Once I had made the initial phone call I had a call back from the on call dentist who prescribed antibiotics. Although they didn't clear it up a second course did. Each time I called I felt as though they were taking the time to listen to me. I have now seen my dentist face to face as have the rest of my family. Felt very safe with all the procedures put in place. A pity my doctors surgery can't do the same and get back to normality.
Poor service mnths and mnths for appointments.
Not impressed. Receptionist was not helpful when enquiring about covid vaccine..... still no news and I’m late being called for it. No diabetes check up for over a year. GP not understanding when suffering from anxiety..
For 9 months a diagnosis of terminal cancer was missed
Appointment needed, call back from doctor when needed and face to face appointment when needed. Efficient and felt very good in this strange covid times.
When I turned up at the GP as I had had a stroke on my way out the receptionist said sorry all the GP are in a meeting you have to go to the hospital reported to CQC call themselves caring they want striking off
Used to be fine Dr retired and new houses built the practice is overwhelmed but nothing is done to help them by the so called health authority or the councils before building a vast estate build a new doctors for the people who will live in the houses
Gp’s are rude, arrogant and dismissive. They don’t listen to you or answer your questions. They spend one eye on the clock and dismiss you as an individual that knows your own body because you don’t have a medical degree.
This surgery is not interested in helping or supporting your health they simply want the money they get for you being registered as a patient. Oh and good luck trying to get an appointment in the first place.
Reception staff are very rude and unhelpful. Have to call from 8am for same day appointment always engaged, when they eventually answer around 8:15 there is no appointments left! I have disc protrusion and struggling with mobility and recently released from hospital I called on Monday morning for prescription for pain rekuef, still wasn't done by Tuesday evening, call Wednesday morning to be told to needs me to gp into surgery for face to face appointment (gp is aware I can't make it to surgery), now I'm waiting all day for home visit and that's if they even turn up!!!! The practice is a disgrace
Good service hard to make an appointment. I feel respected staff are nice offer their services and groups. Its not a single practice GP . Nurses take blood pressure. I like the option/choice. Supported me throughout my knee operation. They refer me easily no waiting very helpful.
Dr's are fine, no problem their.
That's if you can get to see them.
I am not the only person who thinks the receptionist are extremely rude and unhelpful. They carry on a conversation between themselves about what was on tv last night, etc...
They are rude on the telephone and in person.
This is not what you need when you feel unwell or trying to get an appointment for your children.
