"Very easy to get an appointment"
Very easy to get an appointment. You can walk in and get one for the kids. The GP listens to us and provides good care.

The incontinence team said he can't have free pads and only agreed for him to be given medication. He was only on them for 3 months and then taken off. I'm at my wits end.
Appointment booking is restricted to solely requesting online - requesting not booking. No choice of clinician and extremely limited choice of appointment date or time. Lack of continuity has led to things being missed. Feedback doesn’t seem to be taken on board. Be much better if the practice engaged with patients rather than them and us. Does not seem based on fostering good GP/patient relationships. Sad because some clinicians and receptionists are great.
The last time they were good for the children. I can book on the NHS app. Last week they informed they're changing how we access them though and you have to do an online form.
They're terrible, but at least I could get prescriptions. Also, never saw a GP face to face in the entire time I was there, was always over the phone.
It now feels like a lottery win if you can get your results back if needed/blood test appointments sent as promised etc. Such a shame as it used to be an excellent surgery.
Very hard to get an appointment to see a GP.
It's sometimes hard to get appointments.
Really good. I can get appointments. You have to be quick.
They've been okay so far. I haven't used them too often. I went in with stomach pain and they got me an appointment. Helpful, knowledgeable and listened.
It's not always easy to book an appointment. Sometimes there are some available ones online. It's much easier to book online. Everything is good there otherwise.
They're okay. They do things the best they can and are helpful when I need them.
GPs are good. Getting an appointment is a challenge for my 80 year old mom.
Experience of the GPs is variable. You can't see the same GP. A lack of continuity of care because they rely on locum GPs.
I find it good to access them. I have been with them for 3 years and I find them really good. My only issue is they don't do many telephone calls which would work better for me with my work, and me and my partner are both disabled.
There is always a scope for improvement as appointments are difficult to get but the staff are very good and helpful.
It’s so difficult to book appointments that it’s often not worth the effort. I’ve been trying to book a 2nd shingles jab but have either had to wait in a long queue, only to be disconnected when finally answered, or be told that the ‘system is down’ so no appointment can be made. I’ve decided to manage with just one jab!
Great with her care and are on hand when we need support or help for her.
It's improved as I can get appointments if I queue in the morning. In the afternoon they will only see five people and just refer people onto other services.
Nothing to complain about the Doctors at the Practice.
Unfortunately the such bad reviews on numerous websites about this Surgery is to do with Reception.
Everytime I go in there they have different Receptionists who obviously don't stay long.
They are in charge of the phone system and appointments and they are to blame for the shocking service.
I think we should all change surgeries if it's possible to find a decent surgery these days.
I called 8am and 2pm for 2 days to try to get to speak to a Doctor regarding my CT scan results which took 8 weeks.
Everytime I called after waiting in a queue of always over 10 people the appointments are gone.
They need to LEARN to prioritise people from how serious it is in order to get to speak to a Doctor not just give out appointments for minor problems.
Waiting for CT scan results to do with your Kidneys happens to be important to some people but not to Reception they don't care what happens to you only the Doctors.
And they also write things on your app that ain't true what you said.
It's like reading a Police statement word for word.
I have no problems with the Doctors.
I went for blood tests and they found something and told me to go straight to A&E
I saw a GP last year due to stiffness in the legs. They said they would arrange blood tests. The GP is good on the whole. You have to call early to get an appointment.
The GPs genuinely listen to you and are quick to prescribe medicine. At my last GP I ended up in hospital due to medical gaslighting by multiple GPs. However both times I’ve been here I’ve been listened to and today I was given anti biotics with no fuss and taken seriously. Thank you!
The doctors are excellent but getting an appointment is close to impossible. The IT system is rubbish.
It's currently almost impossible to get a GP appointment at my surgery. I had a mental health crisis in December (currently on waiting lists for psychiatrists/psychology) and was directed to 111 because 4 minutes after the appts were released at 2pm they were all gone. 111 passed me to crisis team, who passed me to community health, who took 24 hours to get back to me. I ended up drinking alcohol to knock myself self out (doesn't take much)as it was the only way I could keep myself safe. I have never felt so alone: at a time when I really needed to speak to someone familiar there was no-one available to me.
Very difficult to get an appointment and all the time you see a new trainee doctor. There is no continuity of care.
I came to the surgery in the belief that if I queued at 1.45 I would get an appointment. Receptionist was rude and seemed to treasure her position of authority over me, a sick human being. Almost as if I was a nuisance to question her behaviour, and then I had short shrift about getting an appointment. This woman is unprofessional, rude and has no sense of the job she is doing to facilitate the patients. She should be moved to the back office and her replacement be able to give a capable, professional approach to patients needing to see a doctor.
Very helpful reception team. The GPs are also good and supportive.
It's difficult to get them on the phone. At one point I could book appointments on the app but they stopped doing it. I'm not sure why. They should have a system where you can send information through a link.
Sometimes it's hard to get appointments for both me and my daughter. You can't do anything about it. It's annoying though.
Everything is discussed over the phone, no face to face appointments.
If I don't use them often, i use them when I really need them. Sometimes it's easier to get appointments than other times. I think it's due to everything there being mucked up and don't work together properly.
I have used the service for covid and flu jabs. Excellent service delivery.
GPs are very good but the reception staff are very rude and unhelpful. There is poor communication between reception and GPs too.
I am very satisfied with the service.
GPs are excellent but the reception staff surely needs proper training on how to deal with patients.
I don't use them that often but I go for covid vaccinations and that is all straight forward. They send messages and then get you booked in. All pretty straight forward.
They're good there. You can sometimes waits on the phone but usually you get to see them. I've had a couple of covid jabs there. The nurses and reception staff are lovely. They are doing their best.
I went for a booked appointment to have a covid jab. When I got there I was told I couldn't have it done as I wasn't part of the practice.
Excellent GPs but the reception staff are very rude and unhelpful.
The children can get appointments.
Difficulty in booking appointment. Supposed regular check due to medication am on not completed - been 2 years now. Request for prescription ignored. Uninterested in health deterioration.
During covid they were good with the jabs and telephone appointments.
Nice, friendly staff but the waiting times when you are in to see a doctor is not perfect. You have to wait at least 40 minutes extra.
It is difficult to phone at 8:00am and they say it's full, it is closed. My blood pressure is sky high. they know my medical background and complex medical condition so I should be able to see them.
You can't see your GP, it is the practice nurse all of the time. I want to see my GP.
It hasn't been any easier to get appointments. I have the time to be able to go to the practice and get appointments but it is a pain to have to go in and book. Phoning and being 32 in a queue is just unimaginable, you feel like you'll be waiting all day.
A very good surgery but getting an appointment at times is very difficult. The staff are very supportive.
A very good GP. My husband was diagnosed on time and referred quickly to the cancer centre for treatment.
The doctors and nurses are good. We can get appointments very easily.
I was told I had Type 2 diabetes by a practice nurse, following two blood tests. I was told it was classed as 'well managed' and that I would be referred to a weight loss app. The nurse also said "you have decent trainers on there, maybe you could try using them to exercise". She said to phone her if I needed any more advice, that they (assume surgery) was there to help me. I was not given any advice other than to lose weight and exercise more. I feel quite shocked at the diagnosis and failed to ask questions. I called again a few days later and said I didn't really understand what happens next. I was again reassured that there was a team of people to support me, and that I would be booked in for an eye test. But none of this told me about my diagnosis, and I didn't know what questions to ask. I did my own research and ordered some pamphlets from Diabetes UK. These have been more helpful. It would have been helpful to have more information given at time of the initial appointment, and signposting to Diabetes UK, which is useful.
The eye exam was really good, and the person doing the test gave lots of advice and explanations in response to questions.
I have had another check up recently. I can see on my NHS account that the results show a rise in my blood sugars, but no one has contacted me about this, it was two weeks ago. So again, I'm not sure if this is significant or not, I can only assume not as there has been no contact. It all feels as though there is a focus only on my weight, which has made me feel embarrassed about going back.
Good doctors to be fair. Never have any issues and can get appointments. Good level of service overall. Getting an appointment for this particular issue did not take too long and I felt listened to.
Useless, can’t get appointments with them. If I am calling for medication for my daughter, I’ll just call the hospital and they’ll sort it.
Difficult or impossible to get appointments, no continuity of care, no idea how to get face to face consultation. Long delays on telephone, only to be told to try next day.
One of the best GP's, they listen to what you are saying and don't fob you off. It's fairly easy to get an appointment too.
They come out to me. doesn’t take that long to come out to me. Good doctors.
We waited 2/3 months for an appointment so that my son could be referred. We've been asking the GP to refer us onto an ENT specialist for my son's speech and language. We had issues with the NHS referral.
Come out to see me. Takes an hour to get through and can take a further 3 hours for them to come to me.
Good can get appointment and they come to me same day.
They are a good service and they are over worked, can wait 6 weeks for a blood test and appointment can take a long time. They practise emergencies rather than normal appointments. But the staff are amazing and do what they can.
Takes a long time on phone, but can get appointments usually when I get through. Won’t always see nominated GP depends who is on that day. But it’s okay.
I noticed I had an irregular pulse. Ten days wait for an appointment with nurse not doctor. Heart tracing was abnormal, no doctor available, nurse clearly out of her depth. Another long wait to next GP appointment. But was able to arrange a private Specialist appointment the same week. The Practice refused to give me a copy of the heart tracing. Had to pay for another privately as well as for the consultation. Amusingly, an NHS Cardiology appointment arrived nine months later.
They are quite good, able to book same day appointment. Hard to get into virtual queue as they only allow 10 people at a time on the phone.it would to easier to see the doctor face to face instead of a phone call, its easy to show them certain things.
It's a bit difficult to get through to get a medical appointment. They could be a little more organised.
Receptionists, they are very good. They have an online booking service but you cannot use it to book appointments for children or for many services. They need to listen better, I cannot book future appointments. It would be good to book online for none urgent medical appointments. To see a nurse is easier.
Happy with the service. Only thing is, system was slow for check up's for babies.
So far so good, used a couple of times, appointments take a long time. First available appointment can take up to two weeks. But otherwise it's fine.
They've been good actually. The GP has been really supportive. I can get appointments, I rang at 2pm and by 2:50pm I'd had a call back from the doctor. So far they've been really good, they tell me what's going on and the phone calls are quite helpful. The receptionist sometimes act as gatekeepers.
The frustration on phone when I am trying to call them is annoying but doctors are really good.
Extremely poor in the last few months although now the rest of us are expected to return to normal living after Covid but not our GPS it seems?
i keep getting a message contact your gp
how do i contact my gp via email
Very good GP & nurses, always helpful.
Excellent service, caring and able to deal with phobias.
I am disabled and use crutches for mobility. The staff were very kind and considerate. There was however little parking as first Saturday of Christmas shopping and attendees at the Centre.
Impossible to get through via phone. If you want to book an appointment you can only do so by calling at 8am or 2pm. Good luck getting through before all the appointments are booked up. No prioritisation of appointments or any flexibility given for babies or toddlers. Simply told to call back at 2pm or next day at 8am.
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback; we encourage practice users to let us know where we can make improvements to the care we provide.
As with most GP\'s currently, we are experiencing an unprecedented demand for our services and this may cause a delay in our patient services staff answering calls. This demand may also impact on the availability of appointments and we will offer these where they are available and clinically necessary. We do however triage patients to ensure we are providing the medical care to meet their needs in a clinically safe way.
It is never our intention to cause upset to users of our practice and we would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further with the reviewer. You can get in touch with us and find lots of helpful advice via our website: www.harbornemedical.co.uk
You may also wish to help shape our services further by joining our Patient Participation Group, details of which can also be found on our website.
Best wishes

I used the NHS app to book a call with the doctor. I have always found the doctors and receptionists helpful and polite. In my last call to the doctor's, I managed to explain about 3 different things I was experiencing. I was booked in for blood tests the next day. It took about 5 days for my blood results to come back and a doctor spoke to me about my results. I am now getting appropriate treatment and I'm due to speak to the nurse this Friday. Plus I am now waiting for an x-ray appointment.
My disabled adult child is registered with this practice. I occasionally have to arrange appointments, letters etc on her behalf, the receptionists and GP's have always been helpful and between us we have managed to meet her health needs.
NHS only concern is the virus. I have been unwell and spoken to my gp and NHS111 more then once about my symptons and have been ignored about them
Unhelpful
The GPs themselves are good but getting through for results or an appointment is an absolute nightmare. I routinely wait for 30 minutes in a phone queue or call to be told their phone lines are at capacity and to call later. I don't understand how working people are expected to work with a system like this.
It was excellent. Clean safe & well organized most of all friendly.
The vaccine centre was very well organised and the process was very quick. Thank you to everyone involved in the whole operation!
Lovely helpful people. Queue was long, but moved very quickly. From time I joined the queue until I left after having my vaccine was less than 20 minutes. All the staff/people (think they were all volunteers?) were lovely and helpful
Great service getting my first covid vaccine. GPs and volunteers all very friendly.
Very good, very organised, great team of volunteers
Very efficient volunteers went out of there way to make you feel safe
My husband and I had both of our vaccines there, they ran smoothly, I was most impressed. On our second visit, it had been hailing and there was a queue, my husband who is disabled was using crutches and one of the helpers came and told us the queue would be about 20 mins and asked him if he would be ok to stand for so long, he replied no, so she took us out of the queue into another entrance where we could wait sitting down. The staff were so lovely and so helpful.
Impossible to get appointments with the system in place! Ringing as the appointments realised you are waiting for 60/90 minutes just to be told no appointments and to try again tomorrow!!! Cannot get to see a Dr! Cannot even get to speak to one on the phone!
A1-Excellent
Very well organised, and were also able to deal with a family member's phobias
Amazing
This is an excellent service. I have always managed to get an appointment. Doctors have always been knowledgeable and supportive. From what I have seen they have done an excellent job rolling out the vaccine service.
Excellent service: friendly competent stewards and very efficient reassuring experienced medical staff administering the vaccine
Very good when I went there for my jab, it was like a well oiled machine.
I phoned them few weeks ago to remove my implant as it has been three years since they put the implant. But apparently the surgery is closed and the last asked me to fill a fit online and wait. Three weeks later I'm still waiting and living with my expired implant. I haven't got a clue about the chances of me getting pregnant. It's been over an year since COVID and I'm sure they could do a pop up surgery just like they did with COVID patients. It's frustrating! Incredibly unorganised!
Wonderful - I recently had my first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, and the whole process was incredibly efficient - even more impressive was how welcoming and positive all volunteers and staff were.
It has always been excellent. They are quick to book appointments and willing to help
Impossible to contact
It’s really difficult to get an appointment when needed. The “book on the day” system doesn’t work when appointments run out in five mins. It is difficult to get an appointment when needed. The appointments they have are a bit hopeless and the waiting times on telephone can be up to 20 mins. Also for results etc. for my child age four, I’ve had to repeatedly call! They need to improve and be more efficient.
Went for sprained ankle, just gave tablets for everything. So than went to A&E as tablets not enough. Staff change too much and they don’t know about you. Can’t build a relationship with GP.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.
We take great pride in offering an excellent service to our patients and are very sorry you feel our care did not meet your expectations on this occasion.
Our GP's provide care based on individual patient's needs, always taking the patient history and views into consideration before agreeing a treatment plan.
We are happy to meet with you to discuss your specific concerns and ask that you please get in touch with the Practice Manager to arrange to do this.
We also have a Patient Participation Group (PPG) through which patients can advise us how we can improve our offer to our patients, including how we can build better relationships. Please let the Practice Manager know if you are interested in receiving further information about our PPG.

Doctors are five star but the reception staff are very rude and insensitive.
