"Can't get weight loss treatment from my GP"

Unable to get weight loss injection from GP. Despite him saying it would benefit me he just told me to buy private! I’ve done this but the support would have been better from my GP.

"I can't see my GP"

I can't see a GP and they always send me to another GP surgery. It's so hostile. There's no appointments, no one greets you and the GP doesn't want to know.

"Extremely poor"

All urgent on the day appointments offered an appointment at another when I am not registered there. Next appointment is 2 weeks time total waste of time, just will go to A & E

Very kind and helpful GP. Excellent care and treatment during and after my pregnancy.

"It's like everywhere else"

They're alright. It's like everywhere else. If there is a doctor to see you, they will see you. If not make an appointment usual thing really. No complaints there. They are doing what they can.

"Poor can never get an appointment"

Poor can never get an appointment. Can never get needles done. Meant to have a health check when 40 but only happened the other day. They send no letter or information after anything happened. I am 41 and had first appointment face to face the other day for tonsilitis.

"Quick straightforward"

Quick straightforward, able to get appointments with them. When I did had an appointment you get it quickly, both face to face and on over the phone. First 2 jabs I had to book myself but 3rd one they booked in themselves.

"My experience is average"

My experience is average as it is very difficult to make an appointment, my GP is always helpful.

"Good at getting appointments booked in."

They're really good at getting appointments booked in. My son needed to be referred to the dental hospital to have his teeth extracted, where the referral time took 3 months.

"Very efficient and reliable"

In fifteen years, and until the present, I have found the above surgery very efficient and reliable in all ways. I have been well served by both the medical and administrative staff. I have not had reason to need a personal appointment since the beginning of lockdown, and so cannot comment on that matter, but for prescription services and organisation of the vaccination programme, I can say they have been first rate and entirely reliable.

"Really hard to get an appointment Ley Hill Health Centre Northfield"

Really hard to get an appointment when needed an not a lot of support when I have said I have self harmed and needed help with mental health. The Dr told me there is nothing he can do for me, and I needed to contact my family or friends for help with mental health

"They don’t care about their patients health!"

I have developed many symptoms since 3 months ago and I can’t eat any kind of food as I will have reactions on my body, I nearly died but still after 3 months they haven’t given me a blood test appointment. No body care about my situation and I don’t know what to do! They are just bringing excuses for not giving me blood test appointment. Very poor service. I am dealing with my life and they don’t care really. I need immediate attention but they don’t understand how serious is my situation. Nobody’s helping me.

"They do not stick to time for appointments"

I never have a problem getting a GP/nurse appointment but since lockdown when I have booked an appointment at a particular time they do not stick to it. Eg. wondering why I do not pick up the phone at 0830hrs for a 1030hrs appointment. This causes issues when I have arranged the appointment to fit around work because I cant wait around for a four hour period for a 10 minute phone call. The
Nurse Practicioners are great and the receptionist are really friendly. The receptionists go out of their way to help, e.g. ringing you back when appointments become available.

"Staff at the surgery are always polite"

We are fortunate that our GP surgery is very small. Since moving to the area, the availability of our GP has reduced. We have to phone at 8am prompt to get an appointment or we are referred to the walk in at Katie Road. Staff at the surgery are always polite. Having used another surgery for maternity services I realised how good our surgery was. It's clear more funding is needed as availability for appointments for extras such as blood is only available one month in advance.
