"I changed GP"
I used to be with them but I didn't like it. So I changed to a different GP. I had no follow up from them from a covid jab that caused blood under my legs. They also didn't diagnose my partner who had problems and didn't bother referring either. I changed GP.
"More difficult since they moved"
They moved to Northfield from Bournville and since then it's more difficult to get an appointment. Trying to get here isn't convenient either.
"Very good"
I had an issue with one of the nurses there but other than that they're very good.
"No appointments so I left"
No appointments and very unhelpful GPs. I left there a year ago.
"They made everything difficult."
They weren't very good. They would never come out to the house when my late husband was ill. They would make it all very difficult. It was difficult getting appointments with them too so I ended up leaving and getting a new GP.
"GP and staff are good."
My GP is good. The staff are good.
"Very good"
I'm very happy with them. I don't have any problem. I go in person to get an appointment. In the same day or in the next day. It was very good.
"They kept me on even though I moved"
I moved but I didn't have to move surgery. They said they were happy to keep me on. The doctor performed a breathing test and gave me an inhaler but it turns out I didn't need it.
"Helpful and caring."
They are very helpful and caring. I can get an appointment easily.
"Wasn’t impressed"
Wasn’t impressed by the way appointment system works. Ended up moving GP practices.
"Interesting doctor"
Doctor is interesting. Some of them listen, some of them don't. You have to wait a long time to get an appointment as they're busy. You have to be an emergency. They have to do first aid.
"Difficult to get an appointments"
Attempted to get appointment for myself. I booked it for the following week and was told it would be triage telephone appointment. The day comes and no one rings. Surgery is closed so I cannot call back. Following day booked appointment again for following week. This time telephone rings once and less than 15seconds and I quickly run to get to the phone but miss the call. I booked it again for following week and never had a call back.
Another occasion I attempted to get appointment for my daughter (non covid related) and telephoned on the day and it wasn't your typical eczema type and looked different than what I had seen before. I couldn't get appointment and was told to go to telephone Katie Road. I call them and they have 50 call backs and tell me that I am to call my surgery again. I call Surgery and they fob me off and say if its an emergency go to A&E. Due to covid I am also being told to stay away from A&E aswell. The rash continued for weeks and she was suffering but I had o where to go. I visited chemists and they were unsure what it was and told me to try Surgery again. I miss when I could telephone and have a face tonfave appointment on the day. Granted telephone appointments will come in handy for some especially when I am working but some appointments are needed face to face. I am now having tests as some of my results have come back abnormal. I have suffered for months. Its appalling
"I have a very positive experience"
I have a very positive experience with this surgery. Their response and appointment times are very quick and my GP has been extremely supportive all through my interaction with him, additionally, they are constantly introducing new services to improve efficiency.
"Great service all round!"
Great service all round! The reception staff are very friendly and responsive, and I have never had a long wait for an appointment with either the nurse or my GP.
"I am having to really push for the GP"
I haven't had to go to the practice that much in the last number of years, but more recently I have found that I am having to really push for the GP to acknowledge my concerns. For example I asked for a PSA test as the last one was over 12 months previously. I was told 'Your last one was fine, I wouldn't worry'. I explained that I had problems urinating and thought I had enlarged prostate. It was only after insisting that he agreed to book me in for a blood test with the nurse. When I got the results, the PSA hadn't been done. I had to call again and arrange a second test for this. Likewise, when I got the blood test, the nurse did my BP which was high. She asked me to do this at home and send in the results. I did this AM and PM for a week and around 50% were high (above 150/90). When the GP called me about this he told me not to worry, he was fine with it as the other 50% were OK. He asked me if I had heart problems in the family. When I told him my Dad died of a heart attack at 57, he still said, that's fine, I'm not worried, come back in 6 months. Regardless of whether any of the results (blood, PSA, BP) are fine, he comes across as disinterested and dismissive. On the other hand, the ladies on the desk/phone and the nurse are very good and listen well, show concern. It just makes me feel like I don't want to raise any concerns as I am fussing/over worrying
"Efficient and kind"
This is an efficient and kind medical practice
"Wonderful surgery Bournville surgery"
Wonderful surgery always ready to help, nothing is ever to much. A truly professional and compassionate service
"Above and beyond"
After a few glitches when the new owners took over we can do nothing but praise them now. Willing to go above and beyond.
"Could be better"
Could be better if Gp was more considerate & understanding
