Mom has now been a resident here since February this year. It has an exceptional environment where the care is like home from home. The staff are so friendly to both mum and the family and always feel so welcome when visiting. Looking forward to Christmas and all the planned activities. There's always something going on.

"Very accommodating and keep me well informed"
Dad's been here for 3 years, the home has been very accommodating. They treat dad as if he is family. Every sunday, they play mass on the TV for dad, very good at accommodating religions. I was away on holiday and dad was poorly and they called me let me know what was happening and sorted out everything. They kept me well informed and sorted out everything. They're good at dealing with issues when he is poorly. They get the residents involved in activities and have entertainment coming in, they play snakes and ladders and do other things to keep them active. They also place all activities and things that are happening within the home on Facebook, which is a good way for us to see what's happening on a daily basis.

"Approachable and kind staff"
My wife has been here since February 2023 and she's been happy since being here. The staff are very approachable and kind. My wife needs reassurance as she worries about everything. Our daughter and other family members visit her every day, even our daughters school friend visits her. She was unable to be at home by herself, so this was the best option for her.

Everyone is very kind and helpful and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I've been here not quite a year. The GP is accessible and I'm hopeful of talking to him today, but the staff do keep him up to date.

"Friendly staff, no issues with accessing GP"
Been here for 14 months now and its all been very good and the staff are very friendly. My sister visits me every 3 weeks and I feel good in the time my sister is not visiting me. I have no issues with accessing the GP or dentist when required.

"Management treat staff absolutely DISCUSTING"
Digby Manor on the outside seems lovely, it has many nice reviews and all of these are from people who are visiting parents in the home. The STAFF are treated horribly. Currently on average only 2 members of staff is having to take care of all the residents in the home. Running around trying to do everything, and being shouted at by Jane (the manager). Somtimes only 1 member of staff has to do all of this. The manager has set people who get the easy life while her other employees have to do the hard jobs. The residents pay alot of money for there rooms and are fed the cheapest food Digby can buy, smart price and un branded everything, except for the branded coffee which the manager uses herself. The residents eat small dinners such as 1 toast with cheese on it, microwaved only. The manager constantly eats the residents food from the kitchen every single day, and has a full meal each day. The staff are not aloud a crumb of food and even when visitors leave cakes to thank the staff. The staff are not aloud these and they are told its for residents and consumes them herself. Every good revie about digby Manor is fake, Jane will not step foot outside the office or have anything to do with any of the residents ever, unless she knows the owner of digby Manor or residents family members are there to witness it. Every member of staff is treated badly and unappreciated, being spoken to angrily and aggressively from management.

The dementia workshop has been very worthwhile. It helped us in understanding more about the illness and ways of dealing with dad’s ever changing state. It’s been great to share with the group feeling and that we are not on our own.

My nan was placed in respite for 2 weeks to enable my mother to go on holiday. My nan had never stayed in a home before so we were all apprehensive. The home was very clean and when I visited nan was well dressed. The staff were excellent and treated everyone with kindness, dignity and respect. All staff work extremely hard including chef and domestics. All staff had smiles on their faces which reflected in the residents being happy. Thank you all at Digby Manor.

A fantastic care home where my mum is so well cared for. She is so happy and loves all the daily activities. We could not be happier with this care home. "Great activities"
I stopped by on Thursday evening to see my mother, who is a resident at Digby Manor and walked in midway through a performance of Oliver that had been put on by the home with outside performers. My mom was sitting across the room from me and did not notice me come in. I did not want to disturb the performance so I move to the side and had the opportunity to observe my mom singing along and really enjoying herself. Without me being noticed.
It really struck me the amazing difference in my mom in such a short space of time. Mom has spent several months in hospital, where though well cared for, she was really just a shell of herself. Before that, she was at home trying to live independently but failing.
It was a difficult thing to accept that we needed to have mom cared for. Finding a place you trust to look after the most valuable and vulnerable person in your life is not at all easy.
The short space of time mom has been in Digby Manor has made an incredibly change for good with mom. The anxiety she had over nearly everything, has disappeared. She looks amazing, with far more energy. I can put all of this down to the wonderful staff at Digby House. Ever cheerful and great banter with all the residents. Mom is never without an extra cushion or wrap (she is forever cold), even though everyone else is sweltering. Endless cups of tea, which are essential to an old Irish woman, a really welcoming atmosphere, we visitors are never an inconvenience or in the way. We may well be losing, our lovely mother to Alzheimer's, but it's great we do not have to worry at all about her care and wellbeing. Now she is safely ensconced in Digby Manor.

I would highly recommend Digby Manor Care Home as everyone who works at the home from management to the cleaners always seems to make a special effort to ensure that the residents feel at home. The staff is very friendly and always seems to go that extra mile, in order to meet the needs of each resident. There is always some kind of activity going on each day for the residents to help keep them active and to create a cheerful social environment. Finally, it is always nice to go home knowing that your family member is going to be well looked after and will be sleeping in their own spacious and comfortable bedroom.
