"Online triage works well"
All fine, really good. They give me same day appointments. The online triage works really well in my opinion.

They seem nice. We can get appointments when we need them. You have to book appointments online and that can be annoying if you need to be seen quickly. They never answer the phone to book that way.
Good. I'm able to book appointments easily and see a doctor. They're brilliant there.
I'm really happy with but I have to keep up with technology as you can now go online to order tablets and have space to put any other issues. They get back to you a few days later.
I went for a chest infection and my doctor was good. The same doctor there for years and they're friendly. The doctors are always good and prompt.
Great doctors and want to help you. The negative is the booking system as there is a 3 to 4 week wait for appointments depending on how the problem is rated by the triage system. They are good at making referrals.
I find the service rubbish and I'm thinking about moving. I can't get appointments the system is too long to get one. They decide if you need one or not. The reception staff are rude and you have to fill a form in. I have autism and need help to fill in forms. They don't want to help, they're rude. They never help me.
It was fine when we could do it online but then they stopped it and now it's over the phone and I have to call at 8am. They do a call back system.
I went into surgery late one evening and they filled in forms for me. Then they gave me an appointment via text. The GP was brilliant and explained everything. I ring them for appointments and they sort one very quickly.
Good. Fairly simple and always get through and get an appointment or advice if needed. The staff are very polite.
I have type 2 diabetes. I had a blood and urine test as my kidneys aren't working properly so they have given me medication. It has side effects and so I told them and they said they would do a review next week. They also gave me a blood pressure machine and I can now send the result as and when they need them.
I don't see them very often but when I need to I can book appointments with ease. The staff are very helpful and polite.
It's fine, good here.
Good, they're fine. I've not tried the new system yet on the app which I have been told works fine. They have been so good in the past giving me appointments and the staff are very courteous.
Very helpful GPs and nurses. The reception team do not listen.
Very good. Good doctors.
I am very pleased with the care.
They have a triage system in place where you have to fill in an online form for an appointment. I filled it in 5 days ago and no one has contacted me. This is after calling them and asking for a same day appointment.
My GP surgery took a very long time to refer me to the Women's for my high blood pressure during pregnancy which resulted in complications.
I sit on the phone, waiting in the queue, feeling like a lemon. I went to see them about my sciatica and they said there wasn't much they could do about it. The GPs could be a lot more helpful.
Very good and appointments are nearly always available.
They are okay. They see my kids quickly. I'm happy with them.
Went in with pains in my pelvis. They made me an appointment to have blood tests and I received the results quickly. Another time I was having other issues and they made me a next day appointment. They are really good, really helpful.
Fine, they're good. I have been with them for a few years and the staff are all friendly. I can also get appointments. They call you back and triage you.
Fantastic GPs. Friendly and I can get appointments straight away.
Excellent, no issues there at all. I go to see the nurse and she is excellent. I have never had any trouble with the NHS.
I have received consistent care from my GP. I have been back several times due to complications from surgery. They have advised I go to the hospital and get treatment. They have seen me quickly each time.
Good and easy to get appointments face to face the same day. I have also been for vaccines and it's the same nurse which is good. It's a good service for all our family.
It's pretty good but I have blood tests and didn't get any feedback about them. I don't know my results.
GPs are accessible and reception staff are very kind and helpful.
My most recent appointment went well. The receptionists here are good and I find it easy to get appointments when I need them.
I am very happy with the service received. Very helpful team of professionals.
I can get an appointment very easily. Reception staff are very kind and helpful.
I am quite happy with my GP. Getting an appointment is difficult but it's the case everywhere since covid.
This was my previous surgery and it was very good. They asked all the right questions for the dementia check. It was a proper check. They needed to know things and they gave me a test paper and checked the answers. It was a good practice in general.
They're alright to be fair. You can get an appointment. They're pretty good to be fair. They might say call back tomorrow morning but they're pretty good.
Accessible and can get an appointment. If I can't get through I go up and see them. Because of the tablets I take I see the same doctor.
I've had the same doctor since I was a baby. They have always been good. Never not been able to see them. They'll see me whenever.
They are good but sometimes they make you wait and ask so many questions before you see the GP.
They are very welcoming and they listen to you.
Hardly seen them but hospital will send referrals. Doctor sends them and they'll then send them onto me. Good in general but all care through QE at the moment.
I can get appointment when I want. The only issue is the duration of appointment, It’s only 10 mins which is too little to explain the health issues in detail.
Really good, moved but don’t want to change it. Can get appointment easily and no struggle and no long waits.
Really good, really pleased. Changed around a lot, used to struggle but now they accommodate and are quite understanding. They just changed and become a good service.
It took 5 days to get an appointment. Think she may have an illness but need to see a doctor to address it. Will see a GP face to face today and hopefully they will sort it and retest her. You get through to the receptionists who act like the doctors belong to them. I don't like having to explain myself to the receptionist either.
Before I got pregnant, I didn’t need appointment but during pregnancy they are been good. Today I called up and they gave me an appointment for tomorrow.
When I found out I was pregnant they prescribed me medication that could have caused me to miscarry. They have denied to prescribed aspirin 150 mg and I am still to meet the midwife.
They have been fine. Always get me in to see because of shoulder. Admin staff have been brilliant at sorting my medication they are the unsung heroes.
Not good. I tend to not have to use them. Only go now to see midwife. Too hard to get an appointment.
They recently changed my medicines. They are good they give me appointments when I need them. They are alright.
Never had any problems getting an appointment with a GP, or nurse at this practice. Every time I've needed one I've either had a same day telephone one or a same day in person. Even when just out of full lockdown, I got a same day day face to face which was just as well, turned out I was quite a lot more poorly than I thought. Staff, nurses and GPs are all lovely. The GPs and nurses always take time to listen and talk things through, no 10 minute per appointment rush there. And staff always go that little bit extra to help you and make you feel welcome. The care is excellent from the whole team.
Doctor was very helpful and supportive, discussed options. Booked face to face appointment.
i need a referal to orthopaedic hospital for knee problem can you help me,i am staying greenlands inn longbridge lane.i will arrive in uk 8 march 23.
Long wait in the queues. I have to go into the surgery to make appointments which is a pain, when I live in Kent. Have to come up every week and hope they have an appointment when I am there.
Tricky can’t get hold of them on phone. Always in a queue of 12 at 8am. It doesn’t help they close between 1pm to 3pm. Not helpful once get through no same day appointment. Noisy receptionist and call back from doctor hanging around waiting to talk. They don’t prioritise children either.
"You are caller number 1, but you will still go on hold for 25 minutes because we just don't care". I can' t remember a time where they called me back when they said they would. Chase, chase, chase. Need to move surgery as this just adds to the stress when you are ill.
Went to the doctors at 7 weeks pregnant, my 12 week scan never got booked, so I never got a scan until 14+ weeks and booked as an urgent case. Midwife also did not refer for growth scans, as my son was measuring big on growth charts, but when he was born he ended up in ITU neonatal at the women's hospital.
When I get all checked out it makes me feel happy. Due to go up there soon for an appointment.
My husband needed a urgent blood test and the earliest date they have given us is 15th Oct.
Its difficult to see them or even a call back and they claim they are not going face to face. It’s a nightmare.
They've been wonderful. There's one particular doctor that listens to you. But certain things they can't do over the phone and will see you face to face.
Receptionists are a bit of a hassle, they have an attitude and no respect at all. You don't want to ring them. Can get call backs and they only see you face to face if its an emergency.
So far so good at the moment. Used to be able to walk in and get an appointment before Covid. It's hard to see a doctor now. They prescribe over the phone. They do listen as they referred my daughter to a specialist after calling them twice.
This is the best surgery I’ve used , I ring for advice and within a short time the doctor always rings me back . I cannot find any thing wrong at all . Well done to all the Doctors, nurses and recipients your all great
They’re good can always get appointments.
The best surgery I have ever went to. Nursing staff is amazing. They go over and above all the time.
Very professional staff. They are always there for help support and advice.
I am very much satisfied by the level of care & support provided by my GP.
Struggle to get through for an appointment.
Have to argue to even speak to a doctor on the phone let alone a face to face
This practice used to be quite good but is now overwhelmed. apparently, it has 11000 registered patients whereas some other local practices only have 7000. I have had problems with my ear and struggled to get through on the phone and so self-treated with over the counter ear drops. I ended up with a raging infection on the right side of my face. I managed to get a call back with a practice nurse who prescribed antibiotics which helped... but after I stopped taking them, my ear became sore again so I rang the practice but had to listen to a couple of minutes of messages to then hear that the queue was at capacity. I eventually got a place in the queue and waited 14 minutes for the phone to be answered at about 11.30 (you have to phone before 1pm for an appointment the same day) to be told that the appointments were all gone. They said that they could not book me an appointment for the next day but I would have to repeat the procedure the next day. I would have preferred to have had a message telling me that all the appointments were gone before I wasted time in a queue (I am a carer and was trying to supervise my husband's day centre activities via Zoom at the same time). I was told to phone the out of hours service at Katie Road, got in a long queue and was told I would be called back within 6 hours (too late to get antibiotics from my local chemist today, if they prescribe them over the phone and then send a prescription). Really, I need someone to have a look at my ear and see what the problem is - there is no way I wish my hearing to be damaged and it affects the whole side of my face meaning that I struggle to eat or even talk. I am disabled by chronic illness and a carer so even spending a long time in a phone queue is a struggle for me. Proper funding and service are needed.
Off putting as you feel as though you have to fight to get an appointment with them face to face. Appreciate there has been a pandemic on but if NHS staff can work on COVID wards with many positive patients then why can't GP's see patients if the patient feels like they need to be seen for reassurance. This has gone on to long now and they need to get back to normal. I fear this will become normal practice which is a great concern...
Brilliant nurses who listen and take time to understand your issues. Doctors are ok but its the nurses and nurse practitioners that stand out as exceptional.
Unfortunately last year I had a very difficult time with my GP practise. There were a catalogue of errors in my care, which led to 4 x A&E visits. However I sent them a letter 6 months later, explaining my circumstances and experience. I had a lovely GP call me & talked through all the points highlighted. I felt heard and she apologised for my lack of care, support and treatment.
Always excellent. Over 30 years using their wonderful service & always impressed.
Nightmare to get through on phone, then if they are full they don't even ask what symptoms you have just say they are full you will have to phone back tomorrow which then begins another day of trying to get through to book an appointment, such a shame as the care I have received over the years from the doctors and nurses has been great
Efficient, caring and professional.
Online survey questionnaire: What has worked well for you during lockdown?
Answer: My GP at Cofton medical centre has been very supportive, the endocrine nurse helpline at UHB has also been very useful and Lloyds pharmacy at Sainsbury's Northfield great for delivering medication.
No appointments, rude staff and lack of support for patients. No consideration for kids and elderly patients.
My husband is houseband I ring for his prescriptions receptionist are brilliant take what I need send it to Chemist not a problem.doctors there when I need them.
I have been with Cofton Medical Practice since moving into the area 40+ years ago. I did have a serious illness, now recovered, and they were excellent and caring. I since moved but stayed with the same practice as they know me and my records. I do not go unless absolutely necessary and also use the pharmacist for colds etc. The practice will phone you to make appointments for the doctors and text you as a reminder.
Well done Cofton all staff.
