"Very caring GP"

A very caring GP. They picked up on my husband's brain cancer in time and made a very quick referral.

"If I could give minus 1 I would"

Left without medication that should not be stopped. Waiting for it since ordered repeat Thursday last week rang today receptionist said she would put as priority. Although she was helpful why are receptionists answering prescription line. I am hoping someone from Healthwatch is reading feedback as I've tried to get my medication since Thursday. This not first time. Feeling extremely anxious and vulnerable as I am on my own.

"Always problems with prescriptions"

Left days without medication which cannot just be stopped. Sick of highlighting to staff dealing with prescription request needs doctor to sign off.

It's sometimes easy to get appointments and always face to face. You see different doctors though.

"Can't access appointments"

Uses every excuse to not answer phones. The receptionist thinks she owns the place. Expecting my 81 year old dad to do everything online and says he can't have face to face appointments.

"Getting better and more useful"

They never used to be good, you used to wait on the phone for over an hour then ring again the next day. Now they're getting better and I'm finding them more useful.

It's very difficult to get an appointment take at least 3 days to see a GP.

"Good GP but hard to access"

Excellent GP always very helpful and supportive. It's very difficult to get an appointment take at least 3 days to see a GP. Reception staff are very rude and unhelpful. They don't answer the phone.

"A ridiculous system"

All the appointments are gone when you ring them. The system is ridiculous, you discuss one problem at a time. One of my daughters is asthmatic and I still couldn't get an appointment. It's scary. They just refer you to the pharmacist.

They’re okay. The GP is good. It’s just getting to them on phone which is not great, But not much can be done.

"Have to ring on the day for appointments"

You have to tell them your issues then they decide whether or not you get an appointment. I can be on the phone for over half an hour or something, then there are no appointments. You have to ring on the day for appointments.

"One medical issue per GP appointment"

Can't get in there. Receptionist are telling me my symptoms are not serious or important enough to get an appointment. I'm also asthmatic and don't get seen for regular reviews. They tell you to check with the pharmacy, get that all the time. There's a sign in the surgery which also says you can only speak about one thing. I have a mole and the receptionist said I can only talk to the doctor about one thing but how can I prioritise.

"Hard to get appointments"

Hard to get appointment like usual. Thank god I don't have to use them often. But when I do it's call up at a certain time and if you miss it, there's no appointment.

"Not possible to get appointment"

They opened phone line 8.15 AM and no appointments at 8.20 AM .Ridiculous! They must be making this up and saving them for relatives. Another day of pain!!!

"Trying to call"

After a 1 minute long no need anymore covid message, finally the phone rings and rings and rings, 1 min 7 seconds, still ringing.
Try again an hour later, same as above but 1 min 43 seconds of ring ring ring.
My time is valuable too and busy working.
The reception is not that big that you can't get to the phone.

"Very nice place"

Very nice place able to get appointments. Nowadays they see you face to face but before during Covid was no the phone.

"They were good"

When I found a lump they rang me back and seen me the next day. I was referred to hospital and had an operation within 6 weeks. I rang them end of October and had my operation in December. They were good. They are also good with my arthritis.

"Feel listened to and understood"

My experience of the care when I get an appointment is good. I feel listened to and understood. But the system is under funded. Trying to get and appointment is difficult. When you try to make an appointment by phone, one they answer, all the appointment are gone.

They're okay. I manage to get appointments but have to turn up in the morning to the surgery to get one.

"Don't answer the phone"

They don't answer the phone, I'm told to call and when I do, I can't get an appointment. I then end up going to the hospital when its not really needed.

"Poor reception service (-1 star)"

Tried making a blood test appointment as had a month of feeling lethargic. Receptionist blocked my request and asked unnecessary questions going back 2 years (start of covid). After causing an argument she said she would pass the blood test request to the Dr and I should phone back in 7 days. I phoned back today (i.e. 7 days later) and just met with the same person on reception. Extremely blunt and argumentative. Denying we had the conversation where she told me to call back in 7 days. I have been with the surgery about 40 years yet this person threatened to remove me from the surgery list and call the police if I came to the surgery. How can you get past very poor reception in order to actually have a meaningful conversation with someone???

"Doctor refused to take on my new insulin!"

I had new insulin to take from the diabetic clinic at heartlands hospital and the dr wouldn’t sign for me to have it because he didn’t know nothing about it!! I had to get my diabetic doctor from the hospital to call him my diabetic nurse tried and she got no where!! As soon as my specialist doctors called him oooooh what do you know he signed for me to have it!! They sent him electronic letters he never read them I had a right game!! Iv had so much problems trying to get an appointment like everyone said 185 call later there’s no appointments call back in the morning bloody jokers and one receptionist is soooooo rude I’m not keen using this doctor I try not to if I can I’d rather go walk-in if I’m honest

"The place needs to be refurbished"

Drive in front of the surgery needs a clean, surgery needs a new door (its old and tatty) or at least a good clean… waiting room/reception area needs to be ripped out and replaced from top to bottom… everything is old/run down and depressing.

"Impossible have review with the doctor imposs"

Impossible have his prescriptions. Impossible talk to the dortor. Staff speak very rude no nice. No give appointment. Always make you phone all day for nothing finally you have no doctor no prescription only thing they know said its .fully booked phone back .doctor not here is holiday phone back tomorrow bad bad bad

"Useless"

Can never get through, 71 times in a day I tryed to speak to someone to be told call back tomorrow, my dad's 74 years old, health issues and can't get to see anyone, absolutely discusting,

"Impossible to get a appointment"

Impossible to get a appointment with doctor.There are 2 of the receptionist are difficult and one being sarcastic if your lucky you might get one of the other ones who are helpful, this is a-shame because the doctor himself is very good.

"116 times I’ve rang"

116 times I’ve rang Couldn’t get through and finally got through can’t get appointment last one just gone. We are busy on phone sorry been in there you never answer phone to busy talking

"Obtaining appointments"

The doctors and nurse are fine but getting an appointment is a nightmare. Getting a call back appointment is taking me 3 to 4 days on each occasion.

"phoning everyday still no appointments its wk"

the doctor tells you one thing on the phone and doesnt do what he says, my daughter was meant to be seen in person but as the doctor didnt put it on the computer we have to have another phone call. ive phoned every morning and afternoon for 4 wks to be told sorry theres no appointments left. in the last 2 wks ive phoned for a repeat prescription both times been told theyll put it through and to phone back, both times i phoned back and been told it hasnt been done so now i have to wait another 3 days. its unbelievable how you cant get appointment this needs sorting they cant have one doctor for 3000 patients. the poor receptionists (who are amazing by the way) have to deal with the angry mob due to no appointments its not fair for them to have to deal with the mess.

"No care at all"

how doctor and his staff work is a mystery there is not one caring person who works in that building apart from the nurse. Dr is the worst doctor I have known condescending and arrogant, 500 attempts I made to try and get an appointment for my wife over a three day period 497 of them was no answer at all the 3 times I spoke i was told no appointments the list is endless with this doctors.

This doctors is has the most rudest receptionist refusing a I’ll person of there meds tell u to call at 8.15 in the morning after being discharged from the hospital then told to call back at 2 and they refused epilepsy medication to my partner
