"A smile would make a difference!"
They are good if they cannot give you an on the day appointment they send me to an alternative setting. The staff are co-operative but I would not say they are friendly. A smile would make a difference the staff are not very welcoming!
"Can wait 48 hours for a call back"
I have experienced difficulties getting an appointment and have waited 48 hours for a call back after filling in their online form. On one occasion this delayed me receiving antibiotics.
"Take a while to get appointments"
It takes time to book an appointment.
"They take their time during appointments"
It's alright, waiting times for appointments whilst in the surgery can be an hour but they take their time in the appointment so that's okay with me.
"A good surgery who communicate well"
I find the surgery good. The receptionists and doctors are very helpful. They communicate well.
"Brilliant surgeon but nightmare to park"
The parking can be a nightmare but will see my surgeon here sometimes and he is brilliant.
"Understanding but long wait for appointment"
Understanding whenever I see them, but can be waiting weeks for an appointment. My Mum calls them in the mornings to book an appointment, so I don't know how difficult it is.
"My worst nightmare!"
Last October (2024) I paid £50 for a letter which should have taken 2 weeks to prepare, but which ended up taking 3 months. Having received the letter, I submitted it to my place of employment only to find out that it was deemed out of date, so I had to get another one which took another month. Having submitted this second, letter it was missing the latest test results which again took another 2 months. I recently received the latest test results only to find out that I had to undergo recertification for my job which will now take another month. That was £50 well spent for a non service. Congratulations! My recertification is now going to cost me more than it should, because of the unnecessary delays.
"Really good"
Not too bad, been really good. I always have a banter when I go in and get to know them over the years. They mainly book over the phone. I always ring up or pop in. Not sure if they have online.
"Excellent support"
I am registered blind and my surgery has provided excellent support to me over the years.
"A good service"
I found the service good.
"Got a telephone appointment easily."
The GP is good. I got a telephone appointment easily. The service is good.
"I can get appointments"
They are nice and I can get appointments. I had an issue and they made me an appointment and did a check up.
"7 months referral for breathing problems"
I went to the doctor with chest issues. I told them I was struggling with breathing. They referred me onto Heartlands for tests. It took 7 months to be referred.
"Took 6 months to refer"
They took 6 months to refer my mom to a specialist which resulted in further complications. It's very difficult to get an appointment there too.
"I can't see my GP since covid"
Since covid I can't see my GP at all. The reception staff want to know all your symptoms before giving you an appointment which I am not comfortable in sharing with them. I call 111 and get appointments through them or go to A&E straightaway.
"It's hard to get through and see a doctor"
The doctors can be hard to see and hard to get through to. I just wait for the symptoms to pass or call NHS 111 as they will get me an appointment. I have also been to the pharmacy.
"Good if you can get an appointment"
They're good if you can get an appointment. You call at 8:01 am and they're fully booked. So then you have to contact 111 or another service to get an appointment to see someone or you go to A&E. The staff are good when you do see them but that's if you can see them.
"GP doesn’t help much"
1 month ago referred from GP to the hospital. GP doesn’t help much, just gives medication and it has bad side effects. GP told me I had back problems and said hospital would do injections in the back but not heard anything.
"Good practice but not chosen GP"
They're a good GP practice but it's not the GP surgery I wanted to register with.
"Good service that prioritises children"
Can get appointments, I call at 8am and can get an appointment with them. They do prioritise children, they're a good service.
"Very good"
I have no problems; they are very good with my children. I can get appointments when I need them, I get them immediately.

"Prescribed wrong medication during pregnancy"
I had high blood pressure and gestational diabetes and they gave me the wrong medication. I get ill with all my pregnancies and I went to the clinic quickly. I saw another doctor and asked them to change my medication and the doctor told me that I should not have taken that medication in pregnancy. I then changed GP surgery because of this and the GP there was not helping me. This GP told me it was the wrong medicine prescribed for pregnancy and changed it immediately when I was 4 months pregnant.

"Hard to get appointments"
So hard to get an appointment. My daughter has diabetes, and her machine was broken. They told me my daughter needs to go to Heartlands Hospital every day because the machine will not come in over a week. She is 4 years old. It's hard to get her medication. I feel like if you get sick, the system will finish you. I also went to them with problems with my pregnancy and they said they will not see me.

"Blood tests results not given"
I have an overactive thyroid and I had moved address and GP. I had some blood tests done and I was not told the right results and given medication.
"Difficult to book an appointment & rude staff"
I can never get an urgent appointment, it’s always given two weeks later. I feel that they are very disrespectful and don’t treat me well. For example for a blood test they used a rubber glove over my hand instead of proper equipment. I feel that there is a long waiting time and no check-ups. There is never enough time to get appropriate information and when I ask for it they just say that the appointment time is up. I feel that they just dismiss me. Because they don’t provide interpreters I feel I can’t always express myself properly and there isn’t enough time to be understood. They just give medication without examination. Once I came for ear check-up and the nurse put cold water in my ear to clean, but is caused an infection. The lady in the reception is very disrespectful and is not helpful when trying to book appointments. My mother, who is 73, gets no medical attention, even though she has an eye problem and high cholesterol.
Dear Patient,
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate it when our patients take time to feedback to us about the service they have received and we will endeavor to use the feedback to improve our service. "Don't get the same support I used to"
I have many health conditions and need regular support from the GP, including getting oxygen. I used to get regular home support from the practice nurse around once a month. Now the nurse had told me that service is no longer available and I have to call if I need help. The problem is that you can never get hold of the GP reception to get appointments. I've had to wait over two hours phoning, and still no answer. Then I have to go to the GP physically by bus, something in the dark and I struggle with all my conditions. It is very difficult for me to physically have to get to GP.
I am on a 100 tablets a day and I don't event know what half of them are for. That's because there's never enough time with the GP. I'm considering changing GP, but I'm not sure I should be after 40 years.
Dear Patient,
Thank you for your comment and I am sorry to hear that you no longer get the type of support you were used to getting from a Nurse. To enable me understand and deal appropriately with the issues you have raised in your comment and as I do not have your details, can I request that you contact me at the surgery so that we can try to deal with the concerns you have raised. I look forward to speaking to you.
