The doctor is very good. They're still seeing people but they do speak to me over the phone, which I prefer. I wish there was more mental health support available. It's very difficult to get the support recently.
Very hard to contact or get an appointment to see a psychiatrist when it was urgent , after finally getting the appointment the care and advice my partner was offered was shambolic , she dismissed 20 years of previous professional diagnosis and took her off the tablets which worked for her (apart from weight gain)without any replacement and the only advice was exercise and fresh air . If i had not of been present myself i would have doubted my partners recollection . Shocked and amazed was an understatement .
My daughter Harjit Deshi/Lamba is under the care of Aston Nichelles CHMT. Suffers from Bipolar. Dr Masil is her consult and he has failed to treat my daughter who is not taking medication, not sleeping, she is extremely out of character. Harjit had relapse in December 2019 and it got worse in January 2020, through her mental health untreated she throw her husband out and her 4 year old laughter was taken away from her by social services, Harjit was not fit to look after her daughter. Harjit lives on her own in February 2020 she was sectioned. On this occasion Harjit did not settle well at the hospital she was moved 3 times to different hospitals. Harit was hard to handle, she is confused with Bipolar and is extremely out of character. To my amazement Harjit was discharged in May 2020 still unwell and she has been left untreated since. I wish to make an official complaint of the care that daughter needed and it was not provided. I have been trying to contact her GB Dr Bathala based at Handsworth Medical Centre on Soho Road - no joy. I then contacted Birmingham City Council Adult Social Services to make a referral to rise the alarm that my daughter is not well and needs care. I have contact my own GB Dr Harris Faulkner at Crayford Town Surgery informing him of my own health not sleeping worried sick about my daughter. He advised to write the all evidence of names of staff, nature of the call and the outcome keep a record. He explained give the staff an opportunity to put things right and provide care for your daughter and if it fails then you must put in an official complaint in writing. As each day goes by my daughter is getting worse. She rings me all hours shouting abuse and then hanging up. Harjt Deshi does not have the mental capacity to make decisions. She is out of character, goes out all weathers night or day, looking for arguments, she then begins to shout abuse, swears. Harjit needs to Mental Health Act Assessment and this should lead to her being sectioned, admitted hospital, sedated and then put her on recover plan. Her condition got worse since December 2019 and it is now April 7th 2021. I appeal to you however Harjit appears to staff she is not herself and she displays being well, this is an act to cover up. Christine Blake the Osborne House CPN is contact with me every week and we are both fighting a losing battle. Our voice is not heard. URGENT action is required immediately. Thank you
My daughter is under the care of Aston Nechelles CMHT. First Administrator named Joyti took my phone call on Tuesday 6th of April at 2.05 pm. I am very concerned and worried mother. I upon answer my phone call she seemed agitated as I was asking to repeat herself I could not hear. I then informed her that I am hearing impaired, she started shouting in angry manner. I expected her to be more understanding instead I could not continue with phone call she was speaking to me in angry manner. I asked her to calm down and she shouted you asked me to speak louder. I informed her that she was very unprofessional as I was now very angry and she put the phone down on me. I was more frustrated as I had not made my call as I intended raising concerns of my daughter's mental health at risk. After 5 minutes I called again and the phone kept ringing and no one answered. In the end called Osborne House again this time I picked a different extension number and I spoke to Gurjit who was very helpful and dealt with my call. I explained the reason why I called her extension regarding poor, rude service that Joyti had provided. Evidently there were notes on the system about my call Gurjit reinterated that Joyti had made note on the system. I am extremely angry with this member of staff. She is not fit to be working in a Mental Health Team where vulnerable call in and she is not a caring person and her mannersim only adds misery to the caller. Thank you
The waiting lists to get an appointment are too long. During appointments the Doctors always take too long to see patients.
My taxi tickets weren't reimbursed as they should have been. I was promised they would reimburse next week and then the week after and were never reimbursed.
One of the duty workers never phoned me back after 9 phone calls. As a result I had to come and wait to see a duty worker.
We are sorry to read your feedback regarding our Aston team. It is a busy team and we know that sometimes there can be a wait to see a doctor if they have a lot of patients. Our duty worker should have returned your calls and we would like to investigate this. If you could contact our Customer Relations team on 0800 953 0045. They will take some details from you and speak with the team on your behalf. They will also be able to check regarding your reimbursement of travel costs, which can apply for some patient appointments.
