As my mother is at Arden Lodge, I find the home very good. Excellent service and friendly staff. Lots to do i.e. nice Christmas fete and days out. My mum always says she is very happy. Big thank you to staff at Arden Lodge for looking after my mum.
It is excellent, best place I’ve been. Had many problems before I came to Arden Lodge. Since my arrival most of these have disappeared. I am feeling much better and I also had an eating problem before I came here. Since being here I am eating much better and have put on weight, before coming in I lost over a stone. All the staff are exceptional and nothing is too much trouble for them. I have had nothing but the best since I have come to Arden Lodge. I am able to do things that I could not do before. Food is the best I have tasted for a long time so please give my thanks to the kitchen staff. Activities are very good and finally I would like to thank everyone for all the effort that they have made for me to get me where I am.
I worked as a night care assistant. The residents are rushed with personal care. Are forced to get up at 5 A. M then have to wait until 8 A. M for breakfast. Residents don't have a choice if they want to get up or go to bed. Some staff are quite rude to the residents. Management and senior staff attitude is bad. Reported they had mice in one of the bedrooms management just laughed at me still haven't done anything about it.
I think the care home is lovely and the staff are all very kind and caring there is always plenty of activity and fun events to join in with. 5-star care.
Mom lived her for a little over 12 months. Mom loved it in Arden Lodge and made many lovely friends. The staff are amazing right from cleaner to the top. Mom loved them all. Sadly mom passed away early May but the love, care and respect that was not just shown to mom but us as a family also was amazing and i will always be grateful for this lovely home and staff
A fantastic care home with kind and caring staff. Wonderful, immaculate facilities for residents with a range of activities and lovely home-cooked food. Inclusive and care for all needs.
first experienced of a care home and being here has made me realise there not bad at all . The staff are all caring and kind.

I have confidence in the team caring for my Mum at Arden Lodge and think we were really lucky that they had a room available when her needs arose. The staff treat Mum with kindness, respect and as an individual, having taken time to get to know some of her personality traits.
A range of appropriate activities are frequently arranged and having been there to see my mum heartily joining in with a visiting singer, was a joy. If Mum has an ailment , however minor, I am always advised without delay and am kept informed of any action taken e.g. doctor, meds etc.
Whilst it took time for me to adjust, I now feel as though I visit Mum at 'home' not just 'a home', as the staff always make me feel welcome.
My brother and I were recently able to accompany Mum on a day trip to the seaside with other residents and some of their loved ones. It was well organised and daily caring essentials like medication and catering were provided without fuss - and we can all see the photos of a lovely day out.
I believe that Arden Lodge works so well and is a happy place because the staff work well as a team. If I was ever to have any misgivings about anything I know that I could discuss these with the managers as I have asked a lot of questions since Mum arrived and have always received open and full responses. One hears such awful stories about residential homes but I have no worries about my mum being at Arden Lodge.
Could not wish for better. Staff able to deal with my 89 yr old Aunt with ease, and she can be very difficult at times. They have taken a huge weight of responsibility off our hands, now we know she is safe and well looked after.
I was really impressed with the staff and positive attitude from day one. My aunt is quite frail and can be very difficult to deal with at times. The staff handle her with ease, and have taken a huge worry off our hands. My Aunt is not coming to terms with her aged 89 body well, and can no longer look after herself safely, but I know her family and close friends all agree this is the best place for her now. Recently she confided in me that she knows this herself. Can't rate this place highly enough, from the Day trip to Weston Super Mare she went on, and the fact they even aranged to have her eyes tested to make her life better.
While I am teaching chair yoga here the staff are always friendly and helpful to everyone.
I am a Work Placement Officer at the largest college in Birmingham and Arden Lodge are one of our providers of work placements for our Advanced level Health and Social Care students. The home is clean and modern and the residents are well looked after with many activities on offer and caring, patient staff. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and I have recommended Arden Lodge to one of my colleagues who is looking for a care home for her elderly father. In my role I have visited many care homes and this is without doubt one of the best in Birmingham.
ive worked here for 5 months now and absolutely love it, the atmosphere is great, the staff are amazing to work with and really made me feel welcome when I first started, it feels like a family. the residents and their families are great to work with. the home and everyone involved within it brings a great family experience and I would recommend to anyone who asked. one of the best places ive worked.
I attend the Home for events and I also go on the trips. I find the Residents are spoilt, as they should be. The staff are tonall their needs. Nothing is ever too much for any of them. The relationship they have with the Residents are fantastic, they are treated like an extended family. I would definitely book a room myself. The Management Team are fully involved in every event and trip and ensure the Residents enjoy every minute. I find the staff to be kind, compassionate and have empathy for each individual. Highly recommended Home from everyone I speak to.
Visited on a few occasions, been in a few care homes before but none like this. Staff are brilliant, the entertainment/ activities they arrange for the residents is great, staff always involve the elderly living there and the staff and residents always look happy especially when up dancing, or when there are reindeers in the garden at xmas. All care homes should be like this.
The staff at Arden are so friendly and engaged with the residence and local community. I love hearing about all the activities organised at the home.
My family member was in this home and I can't thank the team at Arden lodge enough for the amazing care they have given to my mom. lovely care home lovely staff allways loads of Activities going on.

This Home has improved over the past 12 Months. The Management are fully involved in all aspects. The level of care is fantastic. The Home is beautiful and clean and I am always made to feel welcome.
I enjoy being here I often go for pub lunches and meals out most days staff are all very nice I have lots of fun here at Arden lodge. I have always enjoyed fine dinning.... food is ok here but not to my high standard

Arden lodge is a lovely place to work there is always loads of activities going on to keep residents entertained the resent trip to western supper mare were 48 residents and family's went to the sea side was so fun and enjoyable all the residents enjoyed the trip it was so lovely to see all the smiles on every ones faces
The care shown by staff have made our mother’s transition from independent living to living in a care home seamless.
The events coordinator does an excellent job arranging days out, light hearted quizzes and singers when it’s one of the residents birthday and much more. They’ve even had Shetland ponies at the home, fantastic!!!
It’s the care we were hoping for our mother who calls Arden lodge ‘home’
They have been very good looking after my mom and dad. They were very good with dad at the end of life.
