"Hard to get appointment, good GPs"
Sometimes it's difficult to get an appointment. You can book online but I lost the login details so can't book. I rarely go to the GP, usually just in the winter. On Friday I called for an appointment but they were full so I went to the pharmacy who advised me to call 111. I was able to get antibiotics nearby. Mum had dementia, the GP was brilliant and went over and above. However, only had a couple of care visits. I had a fall a few weeks ago and I went to the GP. She had a look at my knee and hip and was told I have Arthritis.
"Not really good"
Not really good. You wait one hour on the phone and then there are no appointments left. So you have to try again the next day.
"Usually get a same day appointment"
Waiting on the phone takes a long time but they usually give you a same day appointment depending upon the situation and how important it is. We usually get the help.
"Staff are very helpful"
I can get appointments very easily and the staff are helpful.
"Waiting times are too long"
I waited too long to get through. Over 30 minutes waiting on the phone. They don't assign me with the correct GP either.
"Very good"
They're really good. I've been with them since birth and they're very good. I can get appointments without any bother.
"Proactive and very kind."
The GPs are very helpful and proactive. The reception staff are always kind and try to provide an excellent service.
"Prescription"
Last week I've called the Drs surgery to book an appointment to speak to the Dr because I need to see the Dr to request for 3 months supplies of medication because I'm going away for 3 months. The receptionist said that I don't need to see the Dr because she will ask the Dr to sort my 3 months supply. When I've received the 1st set of medication on 27th August it was only 1 months supply, I called the Drs surgery again and explained to them that I need 2 more months supply of medication and they said that they will request the Drs again. I then received the 2nd set of medication today 2nd September it was 1 month supply again. I called the doctors today and my mum has spoken to the receptionist, and they said that we will ask the Drs to give you 1 more months of medication supply and also, they said it is up to the Drs to decide whether to give you 1 more months of supply. I'm not really happy about this because this whole issue is wasting my time, and I don't have the time to keep and going around in circles. If a patient requests to book an appointment with the Drs, then the receptionist should book the appointment with the Dr for the patient to allow the patients to speak and to discuss their medical needs and also problems.
"Very friendly and helpful"
It's quite efficient. I can get appointments on the same day. The staff and doctors are very friendly and helpful. Anything you need they are there for you.
"Separate appointments for each health issue"
I have multiple health conditions and they want me to book separate appointments for each issue to discuss it with my GP. It is ridiculous as I don't have that much time.
"Very difficult to get same day appointments"
They change things without telling patients about it. They need to improve their communication skills. Very difficult to get same day appointments.
"Excellent acess"
Always have appointments, they are good doctors
"All telephone calls"
It's all telephone calls. For repeat prescriptions you used to just drop them into the surgery, now you need to call them on the prescription line.
"Symptoms dismissed because of age"
One doctor is very good. Not like others who are rude and arrogant. They dismiss symptoms. My brother who has issues with his knees was dismissed because of his age and was told there is nothing wrong.
"Cannot find any fault in my GP"
I don't find any fault in mine. I can get appointments. The receptionist says the doctor will call you back. If they think it's important, they ring you to come in.
"They're really good"
They're really good, I am able to get appointments, I have no problems using them.
"appointments always available"
Face to face and phone appointments always available. During Covid it was phone appointments only.
"Avoid like the plague"
Used to be a good gp service. But the new doctors have really ruined it. Especially pompous, stuck up and pride filled and arrogant doctors like akbar. The receptionists are trained to lie and the practice manager is AWOL. mr akbar thinks he can play games with patients but seems to forget that not all patients are uneducated as he seems to think. Some of us know about PALS & the PATIENT ASSOCIATION SERVICE. To whom we patients can complain to. mr akbar is so arrogant that he refuses to speak to a patient and just sends a text message from the gp messaging service refusing to carry out essential work while going against the gp code of ethics and refusing to carry out work which is considered under safeguarding. The only good thing about ammanah was the receptionist Fahad, who has unfortunately left this mad house to work elsewhere. Since Fahad has left it will be a miracle if the staff answer your call even after waiting 15 minutes while literally pulling your hair out.
Dr Iqbal & Dr Khan are top Doctors but unfortunately they are not at this site as much as they used to be. Leaving something fantastic they built up over many years in the incapable hands of arrogant, pride filled, unprofessional, pompous youngsters such as mr akbar. Dr Khan & Dr Iqbal. You guys really need to come back and take the helm at Amaanah/sinking ship and save it. It was once the most professional and streamlined GP service this side of Bham. It's only going downhill now. Unfortunately for me. I'm being questioned by friends and family whom I had referred over to join Amaanah. I had referred them to pre mr akbar Amaanah but instead they are receiving an even worse service than their previous GP. Take action now or you will lose many patients in the near future. I am currently looking for a new GP service for my self and my family. I refuse to be in the presence of arrogant and rude individuals like mr akbar.
"Not satisfactory"
Not satisfactory. Always deal with locums. Reception staff dismissive eg " we have no nurse until Thursday and that's the way it is" to me who needed a dressing to a wound chnaged every day after surgery
"Okay"
Okay
