"Death certificate took too long"
A friend's loved one passed away who was a patient here and the doctor sadly too long to do the death certificate, a lot of chasing back and forth that I and others had to do. It delayed the religious washing ritual and delayed the funeral for her. This has caused a lot of pain.
"Experiences vary depending on the GP"
Some doctors are good and some are dismissive, so it very much depends on the GP.
"Delays to get death certificate"
Very difficult to obtain death certificate as time was of the essence. As the patient had sadly died after just coming out of an acute hospital, it should not have taken several working days to obtain it. Irrespective of the new obligation of an external medical reviewer assessing the MCCD. These uneeded delays sadly caused a lot of heartache to loved ones. As burial rites owed to the deceased patient, due to their faith or religous belief, had to postponed again, and again.
"Some are good, some are a joke"
Okay. Can get appointments. Receptionists are good but the clinicians are a joke. I have to tell the receptionist everything in order to see a GP. I want to see a GP not a different clinician.
"Waste of my time even trying!"
The service is so poor I feel like its a waste of my time even trying to get an appointment. I have lost all faith in them, they provide an awful service. They do not deserve 1 star.
"Worst ever"
The receptionist are the most incompetent people you will ever deal with. Should be looked into.
"It can be frustrating"
I can only reach them certain times of the day and you have to try for a few days in a row. It can be really frustrating but you get in after trying for a few days. Staff do help you but it's horrible trying to see a GP.
"Always too busy"
They're always busy, they leave the minor issues. It's long waiting times and it takes ages to book an appointment.
"Happy with the service."
My husband has been with the surgery for the last 12 years. He can get the appointments very easily. He is very happy with the service received.
"I've stopped going to them."
I think they are all about the money. They take on more patients to get the money and then don't treat them or see them. I've stopped going now. I just go to the pharmacy. I get better help from 111.
"Very very good"
Very very good. I don't have to wait for appointments. I have no problems or worries with them.
"Fully booked at 8:00 AM"
You call at 8:00 in the morning and they will say it's fully booked. They give telephone consultations. I fell that there is a shortage of GP's as you see the same 2 or 3. Receptionists are really rude too and won't let you talk.
"Sometimes there's issues getting appointments"
The GP is okay but sometimes there are issues with appointments but that's when 111 is always helpful.
"No problems getting appointments."
The surgery in general is good. Very good and no problems getting an appointment.
"Helpful and informative midwife."
They have a really good midwife. Helpful an Informative.
"I can get an appointment."
They're alright. I can get an appointment. I don't tend to make appointments with them though as I go through other places for help and support.
"Good. Can get appointments."
Good. Can get appointments. Sometimes quick and sometimes you have to wait a while but you can get an appointment in the end. Not always the same doctor but if I request a female they'll give me one.
"Can get appointments"
Very good. they are so nice and lovely people. Can get appointments with own doctor or other. Not too bad for getting appointments.
"Brilliant"
They're brilliant. Not too bad, I don't like it when they tell me to go to the pharmacist, they don't know me like the doctor does. The doctor is a pain specialist so they call me in to see me when she sees me on the list.
"Only getting worse"
There’s no plus side no more the main two drs vanish your luckily if they are in office working half a day a week even then they take no patients on the other ‘drs’ they have ‘working’ there are only there to get the gov paycheck.
They let the good drs go one was the next best thing there who actually cared about his patients he single handily got the practice through covid but they let him go since his left it’s got worse the receptionist do as they please they will openly talk about other patients infront of waiting patients and make fun of them. They have called me telling me test results for someone I don’t even know
"It was great Alpha medical centre"
It was great
"Cannot get an appointment through the phone"
Cannot get an appointment through the phone.
"Very difficult to get an appointment."
Very difficult to get an appointment. You don’t get an appointment when you need it the most.
"Poor"

"Bad attitude, refusing to treat the condition"
I personally have experienced very bad attitude from the professionals working at this practice as physician assistants and pharmacists that are assisting GPs to treat patients. A friendly manner towards patients would greatly be appreciated rather than showing an ignorant attitude. Furthermore, I have also noticed as a patient that when you are reporting your symptoms or concerns about your health half of the things you say are ignored. Things such as referrals to counselling services for the particular well being of the patient. Stubborn behaviour which I have recieved from a pharmacist working here refusing to treat my condition as she thought she would rather wait for the illness to get worse before she could offer treatment rather than treating it at the earlier stages. This particular professional is using "protecting her license" as an excuse for not treating patients and not prescribing treatment to relieve the symptoms at the earlier stages of the infection. I would highly recommend to be seen by a GP for treatment of the actual symptoms rather than the assistants who are showing lack of confidence and competency to offer appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
"Good Surgery"
Difficult to get appointments but good gp's
