"Not bad but the waiting lists are long"
My oldest son has ADHD and they're not too bad. Not long been diagnosed and were on the list for an autism assessment and then they're really on it but the wait is long.

Been waiting over 4 years for my son to be seen for assessment for autism. Meanwhile his mental health has declined mental health services will do nothing because they say it's all to do with his autism. He barely attends school because off his difficulties. The list of problems go on there is no support for him at all. Even went to PALS who were as helpful as chocolate teapot.
Thank you for your feedback about Allens Croft Child Development Centre. We\'re so sorry about the difficulties you\'ve described and we\'d like the opportunity to look into your son\'s case in more detail. Please do call our PALS again on 0800 917 2855 or email contact.bchc@nhs.net.

The one he saw today was really nice. They do his height and weight and see how he's getting on. They're very good when we see them.
Thank you for telling us about your experience at Allens Croft Child Development Centre, and we\'re pleased this has been positive. Your feedback is really appreciated and will be shared with staff.
Patient Experience Team
They did a test on a machine and said he would need to be seen at the Children's hospital. They sorted the referral which took a very long time. They were good though.
Thank you so much for your feedback about Allens Croft Child Development Centre, it\'s really appreciated and will be shared with the staff there.
Patient Experience Team
They acknowledged the diagnosis that we got privately from abroad. We had one appointment with them and they discharged him.

Brilliant consultant who looked at the questionnaire, asked about family history and was diagnosed the same day after a 2 year wait for assessment. The only thing now is it takes a long time to get all the paperwork through.
Thank you for your feedback about Allens Croft Child Development Centre, it\'s very much appreciated and will be shared with the team there.
Patient Experience Team
I had to keep explaining each time to different doctors. They wouldn't read his notes prior to the appointment and they still haven't done a medical review.

My co-worker and I have called Allen's croft children center multiple times on 01214664700 to make a referral for a client. The automated call asked us to press 4 for 'anything else' which we did and got through to someone on the phone who by the way didn't even introduce herself and straight up said "you are interrupting my office, call the reception". We made the call again and pressed 4, nobody answered and the automated call said "sorry, unable to reach the reception at the moment". We called several times and the person kept hanging up on us. That is the highest level of unprofessional-ism i have ever experienced from another professional in all my years of working corporate.
She’s a daddy‘s girl, her dad‘s got cancer. She doesn’t wanna talk to nobody about it her that treat her like she’s a big girl. I treat her like a child I put structure and boundaries. He doesn’t have none of that I have consistency when she plays up he doesn’t have none of that. He’s the fun guy I’m the bad guy he believes everything that she says and not what I say so she can get away with murder and her dad will always believe her and have a go at me her behaviour with the screaming, the banging the shouting destroying everything in our room. The don’t care, the fighting me, the fighting her sister which is with her doubt she doesn’t do that The latest one she doesn’t wanna go to school she screams she shouts. I’ve got next door neighbours that called the police on me now that makes me feel like I’m a shit mum that makes me feel like I’m a piece of shit that I’m nothing I asked for help That I’m getting way, I’ve been calling her dad this morning because she decided she
Not to go into school, the school knows already about her behaviour. She’s got a social worker as well. She’s a load of rubbish as well as I’m concerned so is the Skool because all the easy keep keep doing what you’re doing until we get her her appointments come through for her assessments, I need a break, I can’t do no more I can’t take the scream I can’t take the shout and I can’t take the banging my house is getting damaged. She’s broken everything in every room that could break my body can’t take no more punches and heats, I can’t keep walking on eggshells , I don’t know where to go no more for how I need her behaviour to stop or calm down
Still waiting on ADHD assessments. Told there is a wait. I've been waiting for 9 months. I have asked them to refer on for hearing test and they arranged it quite quickly.
Been waiting for results and feedback of my daughter's assessment since December 2022. It is now late September 2023. I should have had a call back today. It was booked in via central booking ... and ...... nothing. Will now look to raise a formal complaint.
my sons appointment was canceled due to being seen a month before so wasn’t needed so soon ( cancelled by Allen’s croft themselves) for me then to receive a letter stating my son has been discharged due to cancellation of appointment!!! And we can no longer receive his medication that his NEEDS unless we get another referral from our GP. That was no fault of our own but my son has to suffer for your mistakes. Absolutely awful will be contacting local MP and pals
My son has been seen and has been partially diagnosed, he's been on the waiting list for 2 years.
Been waiting over a year for an appointment. All appointments had to be made by myself over the central booking link, I've had to sort them out myself. Different people will ring me back. Some doctors don't care about treating my daughter, they just want to get off the phone. There's some good staff, secretary genuinely try, the actual paediatricians are not welcoming. I don't like the way they speak to me, it's very patronising.
They don't keep up with the appointments, nightmare to get through to, keep trying with them for over 2 years wait for an appointment. They loose the forms. They say to fax information over. Sometimes can be a language barrier with the doctor when English isn't their first native tongue and they're using medical jargon, it's hard to understand.
Cancelled appointments at the very last minute on multiple occasions.
Helpful but takes ages to get appointment from them, for assessment with 3 years old. Just fob you off.
Son diagnosed with autism. They diagnose with no help afterwards. They refer you to charity services.
Attending the centre has always been a positive experience, however getting an appointment has been a challenge. Staff have always been friendly and engaging.
I go there to see midwives. They are very helpful & involve me in all the decisions.
I ordered via the prescription line, only to be informed that they had no order for the child, and to top it off, there was no doctor to sign the prescription that day. The child in question cannot function without these medications and had completely run out. It was left that I had to resort to begging my GP to prescribe emergency medication for the child, with five out of six (5 out of 6) pharmacies being unable to fulfill one of the items and the sixth being only able to fill one item only. This meant that the child had to struggle through half of a day without the medication which I think is unacceptable for a children's centre. My suggestion is that the prescription telephone service line at Allenscroft be completely overhauled as it is seriously failing children due to the following: 1. There is no way of knowing if your request has been received; 2. the actual reception line often gives messages stating that an incorrect number has been dialed; 3. there is often NO doctor available to sign prescription when there are glitches in the ordering phone line system and emergency medication is required (as was the cases with my child).
It is my hope that Allens Croft remains a Child Development Centre and so should it continue to operate in a child-centred way that improves rather than impedes children's lives.
Regular checks for audiology through Allen's Croft Child Development Centre.
Very poor communication, waiting for 9 months just ot be told we are not receiving the service we expected, complete lack of support and care for Childrens needs.
Nearly 3 years I have been waiting for a diagnosis for my 10 year old daughter, she struggles daily which is hugely affecting her mental health and education. With lost paperwork, calls not answered or returned and consultants 'taking a step back' my child and family are at breaking point.

After being told we would receive forms through the post we are still waiting after a month. Myself and my partner have left messages with other staff to pass on and voicemails but still no response. Dr told us we would receive them within 2 weeks and we have even offered to personally collect them. Totally unacceptable service

My daughter has had no physiotherapy for over 18 months despite having very serious medical conditions.
Consultant appointments cancelled less than 2 hours before the time of appointment and made to wait over 2 years between appointments when she should be seen every 8 months.
Blood test results lost. The list goes on

Diagnosed my son with adhd 18months ago refusing to trial medication still to this day also had an autism assessment months ago still no feed back blaming covid no ones ever able to be contacted and never reply to answerphone messages also suspect my son of ODD as a result of their negligence my son in that 18 months has lost his place at mainstream school and now under a child in care plan due to his violent outbursts and irrational behaviour
No integrated approach to children with duel diagnosis. Doctor simply dispenses drugs. No timely call backs. No mental health and well being resource

When my daughter was 3 her nursery turned her down because of her behaviour. Health visitor was wonderful and helped us to get diagnosis for autism. However this process took a long time, over 6 months. Paediatrician at Allens croft health visiting team was great but we only saw him once. The health visitor or staff at Allens croft never told me that I may be able to get support from social services. I think what we need more is people teaching people, like speech therapist helping parents. Then we can help our children. Peer support and information is missing. I am ok as I can do my research, but what about those who can’t. Health visitor could have told me about social services support.
