"Shy away from difficult dementia patients"

My mother-in-law was in this place. Everything was great until she became more difficult as her dementia advanced. The home had one option in sight, to remove her, and ban my wife from seeing her on the pretence that my wife's behaviour was risky. They are only happy if you loved one is happy to sit down all day. Do yourself a favour and find a better place for your loved one. They deserve it .

"Advertised as a dementia care home with train"

Advertised as a dementia care specialist home. They have no understanding of dementia and the staff are not trained. They do not what safeguarding is and how to implement it. They have had no training in this. If your loved one is wanderer, they will be able to get out of the care home freely without question as they do not lock the door. This in itself is a safeguarding issue given the number of vulnerable adults within the home.
State they are a no lock door policy, and tell people this when you place your loved one on their "care". When your moms behavior is too much for them, they give them a 28 days eviction notice. This is the price we, and our parents are paying for their "care". According to social services there is nothing we can do about it. We'll I can. I plan to spread it everywhere. Look after your parents voice. Let them be heard through you. Do not let anyone intimidate you. Shocking state of affairs. I thought better of you, hiding behind doors, emails and telephone calls!! Oh and finally, they are housing HMO's on the same site as a no lock care home, and the residents families have not been informed.
