Healthwatch Solihull are proud to present our 2023-24 annual report, showing how we have used what local people have told us about their own experiences of health and social care services to drive the changes they need.

Impact Report: The experiences of Solihull residents who try to access urgent care
This report explores the experiences of Solihull residents accessing urgent care, following Healthwatch Solihull’s 2023 report The Experiences of Solihull Residents Who Try to Access Urgent Care. In response, the ICB and University Hospitals Birmingham improved communication, service signposting, and awareness of the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC). As a result, steps were taken to make urgent care more accessible and better understood, though challenges around clarity and access remain.

Impact report: Reducing inequalities through travel support at Birmingham Children’s Hospital
This report shows the benefits of free transport for deprived families to outpatient appointments at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
