Healthwatch Birmingham statement on West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust’s Quality Account for 2018/19.

‘Improving mental health services for Birmingham service users’ details changes made by Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT)  to its community mental health services (CMHTs), after patients shared their issues with medicine management, access to care and appointments, respect and communication.

This report demonstrates that NHS commissioners are routinely hearing more feedback about their complaints systems as a result of a Healthwatch Birmingham investigation.

The report summarises our achievements and impact to shape better health and social care services for patients and the public in Birmingham.
