Shaping the National Cancer Plan

NHS England consulted on further proposed changes to the NHS Standard Contract for 2025/26, including updates on Indicative Activity Plans (IAPs), Activity Management Plans (AMPs), and the introduction of a new provider escalation process. Healthwatch Birmingham responded to highlight the importance of public understanding and patient experience in the development and implementation of these proposals.

This report explores women’s experiences of menopause advice and treatment from GP practices in Solihull. It highlights inconsistent information, limited access to specialist support, and a lack of awareness among some healthcare professionals. Healthwatch Solihull will continue to work with NHS Birmingham and Solihull ICB and other partners to raise awareness, improve service accessibility, and support the development of better menopause care across the area.
